I can recall during the primaries and 2008 election how active and engaged posters on Life Off the Ship were. Between the midterm elections and now the day after the President's State of the Union, you can hear a pin drop when it comes to debating/discussing the political landscape. Is the board a microcism of America? Perhaps we are all tired of the speeches and replies along with the nonsense, like both parties trying to convince us that they are committed to working together by sitting next to each other during the address.

On a separate (or maybe not..) note, Dennis Kucinich is suing a House of Representatives cafeteria because a sandwich he bought there had olives that were unpitted causing him to need dental work....suing for "significant pain, suffering and loss of enjoyment"...$150,000??? Really Dennis???

I've only watched one presidential speech in the last like 25 years, Bush's speech after 9/11. Almost all presidential and political speeches are filled with vapid, empty rhetoric.

Bush: "I'm a conservative." Reality: Spent us into oblivion.

Obama: "Pass this bill and unemployment will not go above 8%." Reality: Yeah right.

Biden: "Musburak is not a dictator." Reality: Yes he is, Crazy Joe.

Paul Ryan: "We need fiscal discipline." Reality: Voted for TARP. Next.

But we just continue to take such weak charactered leaders.

Good for you Dennis. Hey, some of us make our living by suing or defending suits. So stop trying to take bread out of my family's mouth's Hall85 - LOL.

No but I defend them & get paid for the defense frivilous or not. Fact is it's much easier to defend frivilous matters and come out looking like a hero. Once again Dennis keep filing those suits- lol.
