Stunner

GTown Up 20 66.46 7 minutes left, shooting over 60% from 3s with 20+ assists and 30+ rebounds vs Creighton. Would need them to tank on 3s Sunday night to have a shot.

X being up at the half by 1 even in Storrs isn’t that much of a shock. Let’s see how it plays out.

Gtown dismantling Creighton is surprising especially because it isn’t like Gtown has a home court edge. Maybe they are getting better but they’ve been worse than anyone besides Depaul in recent years when it comes to attendance.

Kalkbrenner does not look like the same player. Just doesn’t look aggressive. They’re really missing Pop Issacs.

dehere23 I think the Fans will return for this fun version of the Hoyas --huge win without their point Guard (Mack ) -- Cooley fixing that Program
Also Xavier is surprisingly decent without Freemantle playing . Nice job by Miller

Let’s see how Cooley does this year. They had talent last year and I thought he did an awful job. They have more talent this year but jury out for me until proven otherwise.

The Sorber kid looks like one of the best freshman in the league.

I think X is still pretty good even with the front court being hurt by injuries. They still have a bunch of guards and wings and Miller can coach like him or not. They’ve been a bit disappointing to me because I thought they were a top 3/4 team even after Traore went down. Tonight would be a massive W.

Dont like what the refs have done to this classic Xavier UConn game, and it now goes to ot 78.78.

FT shooting is off the charts good for both teams, with only 1 missed ft out of 32 taken!

This was a pleasure watching two games where there was crisp passing, actual plays being run, great foul shooting, rebounding, accurate 3pt shots, teamwork-- all the things missing with a certain team. Even Butler looking good---

Many here dissed Karaban in pre season awards. Said he was a good role player on talaneted UCONN championship teams.
The guy is a stud. Player of the Year candidate for sure. He and McNeeley are bookends. Twelve games into his career, McNeeley plays like a junior or senior.

I was flipping back and forth and heard Pitino's water carrier Brando talking about how Rick is "old school" which is why Richmond was benched and that Holloway is more "contemporary" and said he had to let, "Kadary be Kadary." 🙄

St. John's is still a bit erratic. That should improve as the season goes on. There's a clear cut gap between them, Connecticut, Marquette, and the rest of the league. IDK what's up with Creighton. Then Villanova may emerge from the rest of the mess. Nobody else is any good. Georgetown has probably the best talent of the rest.
