Talk of the town

Yes I do . Give me one quality win outside of conference please?
So you think 30 wins, tied for the most league wins ever, a regular season title, and a tournament title isn’t a really good seaso?

Btw if your point is they aren’t the 5th best team in the country, I agree. And if your point is they can get knocked out early, also agree.

Curious on your answer to the above though, because I can’t recall when we last had a season like theirs.

That program has lived in overhype and underachievement for a long, long time.

If we had the season they just did, there isn’t a single Hall poster or fan who would think the acclaim that followed would be “hype”.
Regardless of what happens in the NCAA tourney. And any suggestion here to that effect would be mocked and crushed.

They had a great season for sure.. Listen I hope they go all the way .It's good for us it's good for the conference..
Our best teams always had terrific out of conference victories..

OK let's see what happens. I hope they go all the way actually. Good for the hall . Good for the conference...
The way the refs are officiating this Xavier game so far is Exhibit A on how SJU could get bounced from the tourney early. Like other teams in the past that played such an aggressive, physical, pressure-filled defensive style.

I resisted wishing St. John’s well, but I pull for all Big East teams in the NCAAs. I think they’re the best shot for a deep run. Will be interesting.

Amazing that X is only down 8. Gave up 47 points and Texas guards look like they can do anything they want. That one big guy looks like he’s about 35 years old.

James Breeding is reffing the game & basically making every foul call. He reffed the BET & made none of these calls.
And they already changed a bit in the second half, it seems, allowing more to go, except that Conwell just gets hit on a 3 (no call) and they call one on Freemantle where it looked like he got all ball.

Same thing for Marquette with all their "larcenous" on and off ball defenders and activity.

Positive is it won't impact Creighton because Creighton doesn't foul lol

Also, for SJU, Zuby basically gets tackled off-the-ball every time he goes to the offensive glass because of how concerned teams are with his prowess there. Wonder how a ref crew even attempts to deal with that -- it would be a whistle every 5 seconds.

Idk if St. John’s can handle Duke at full strength otherwise I think they can get through their side.

Richmond’s career speaks for itself. At Seton Hall he helped us get to the 2022 NCAAT after Aiken went down, should’ve gotten to the 2024, and in 2023 we bottomed after he was lost to injury. Again, 1 of only 12 players in the 46 years we’ve been BE members to earn 1st Team BE honors here. I wish him all the best. Great player.
