it is a cult of brainwashed individuals who want to hold on to their terrible values.

Social media and irresponsible cable "news" has created two cults - one far right (Trump people) and one far left (woke/pro-big government power/nanny state, etc.). Neither one lives in reality.
And the only people that use the word “cult” are the fringe at either ends and they call the others that name.
Cultists are the last to know they are in one.
So I’ll tell ya bruh, you’re a cultist to your media and PARTY gods.
Both show disturbing elements of anti-Americanism and authoritarian/fascist tendencies.
I’m not party to one side or the other, but let’s look at a little balance.
One group stormed the capitol.
The other group rioted and set fire to dozens of US cities, most notably around the wrongful killing of a “not really good” person. A killing that the murderer has been properly punished for.
i dont remember that second group being of a political faction over a political matter. in fact, what exactly is that second group youre speaking of?
I recall “defunding the police” being a mantra of extremists on the Democrat side to the point that it leaked into political talking points. I don’t think it’s a true party line any more than I believe real Republicans think the election was stolen from trump. Those are factions at the tails and equally maniacal.
I do believe there are Republicans that are afraid to come out against trump directly and give an air of guilt by silence.

There were fatalities at the capitol for no good reason as for civic violence with the protesters those people ruined muncipal property and businesses and the radicals involved with that were no better than jan 6 offenders.

I think the “electrify everything by year end”, defund the police, forgive all debt, socialist wack jobs asking for free handouts without putting in the work are all detrimental to reasonable solutions. And you can’t say just “saying defund the police” was where it stopped. It was a movement inciting rampant rioting. Maybe Philly was fine. You don’t want to know what it did to St Paul and Minneapolis (major insurers are still reeling from the employment disruption from people exiting the workforce - major financial hub), Seattle, San Francisco, other major cities. Was it treasonist? No. Was it working across the aisle for the good of the country? Hell no.
Can’t continue a discourse with you when you are misrepresenting what I am saying. Show me how I’m with trump. Far left and far right are littered with assholes and I’m not interested in arguing which one gapes more, they all stink.
