It's just another Biden failure to not use any pressure or leverage at all. I have no idea why he's going around telling people this stuff as he shuffles out the door. Is he too far gone to realize how impotent and feckless this makes him sound?
When Israel was carpet bombing Beirut in the 80s, Ronald Reagan placed a phone call to Menachem Begin to tell him to stop. Within 20 minutes after that phone call, Begin had called off the bombing.
Uhm wasn’t it because Netanyahu didn’t agree to it at the time. During the interim period of time, Israel did a Lot more damage to not only Hamas but its backers like Hezbollah. There was nothing really left for Israel to do.
To give this victory to Trump is ridiculous. What else could Israel do? Completely level Gaza? It also has a feel of what Reagan did to Carter during the Iran hostages. While Trump may have contributed to it, the bulk of the credit goes to Biden.
Kind of silly to make it a contest on who gets more credit. They both deserve credit, but to dismiss the significance of Trump’s impact is being naive.
