Why is Kevin taking such a heavy hand with both Nelson and TT? Both were inserted into an impossible situation in a very difficult atmosphere with SJU playing an A game with an A crowd.

TT: I really have no idea of behind the scenes issues. What’s Kevin’s endgame here? He’s written TT off for this season and hopes to get more next season? He’s trying to help the kid to mature and be a better person? He knows that it’s over after this season? He’s going to play him down the stretch? The kid did not smell the court in a game where Sandro was brutal for most of the night. I don’t believe he ever paired him with Sandro either. Why are his mistakes punished 10 times more than other players?

Nelson: OMG Your back up PG who Willard raved about plays a couple of minutes when the starting PG is playing one of the worst games ever? The kid looks out of it. In my opinion if the season ends bad this is the situation that won’t end well. He played in big games and now he is so bad he can’t stay on the court either. I’m not feeling a good chemistry between player and coach. Why didn’t Willard try Nelson at PG with Powell and McKnight on the floor for a while.?

Gill: not a starter. Willard used him right and his defense gave ShU a chance to comeback a bit. No offensive game and a atrocious free throw shooter.

Reynolds: Give him the free ride for his college career.. He needs to shoot better, but does everything else you want from a bench player on a BiGEast level. Role player with a certain toughness that obviously comes from his parents.

Rhoden: Stepped to the plate a bit at MSG. His focus on his shot for much of the year has stunk. Has struggled with his transition from high school to playing in college. I still believe a very bright future. He has played some good defense in important moments this season. I think he may help us in these next several games. A slow turn of the corner.
