The Vice Plagiarizer

Don't you think it's weird that she won't say what specifically he lied about?

Seems like she is saying they lied about a conversation which she was not in the room for and would have no way of knowing if it was true or not.

Goldberg is claiming to have more than one source that was in the room for the quotes attributed Meadows and Patel refute the claims (of course they would) but we do know that Trump offered to help with the funeral costs, received a bill and didn't pay.

Being honest, $60k does seem a bit high for a funeral when they did have help from the military and I bet Trump did feel taken advantage of which is why he didn't pay. That and the fact that this was after the election so the politics of it was no longer worth the price...

Its not like we are getting clear policy positions and less attacking from one side though. Trump's messaging is just that everything is crap now and he will make it all better than it has ever been before, and Kamala is a Marxist, Communist fascist etc.

I don't like Harris and think she is running a bad campaign but looking at Trump and thinking the rhetoric from him is better?
His message has been more effective. Not a matter of if it’s “better” or not. He’s zeroed in on what concerns a lot of Americans. Is he going to do mass deportations of illegals? No way, but the perception is that he wants to do something drastic which many feel is appropriate. Compare that to Harris and her weak statements on illegal aliens.

You may not like what Trump is going to do but he's going to do it with conviction and authority. She looks like a deer in headlights answering simple questions. She doesn't even come off as strong talking to media who is fighting for her to win.

I disagree with them zeroing in on what concerns a lot of Americans. The "Kamala is for they/them" ads are silly, he should be focusing more on the economy. And because he hasn't been doing that, his lead against Harris when it comes to the economy has mostly evaporated.

They've tried to make trans issues a wedge for several election cycles and it keeps coming up short. Focusing on it this much as a key part of their closing argument is a miscalculation.

Also, why are you convinced he won't do mass deportations?

Let’s be honest…Harris is the epitome of a DEI candidate. She “checked all the boxes” but there is nothing of substance there.

She vomited on the CNN Town Hall. That probably led to the hard turn on attacking Trump non-stop.

From what I’ve seen, the two closing arguments basically boil down to.

Trump: Life was better when I was President, put me back in the White House. Harris will just be an extension of Biden.

Harris: Trump is a threat to Democracy and I am the candidate of change even though I’m the incumbent VP.

Also, the fact that they had Walz playing Madden with AOC rather than on the campaign trail a week before the election tells you all you need to know about the confidence they have in him. It’s pretty much lay low and hope enough people vote against Trump.

Every single speech he gives he is talking about not having a country anymore if Harris wins, everything will be destroyed etc. I guess since he has been saying that the entire time it’s more “normal”.

I get why people would prefer him over her, but come on… it’s not because he was running a positive messaging campaign.

Agree that it’s not a positive message campaign, but he has put a stake in the ground on issues that resonate with a lot of people. Illegal immigration, fentanyl, human trafficking, inflation and crime all matter. And yes, it’s scare tactics but we all know these are real issues that people care about. She doesn’t even acknowledge they are major problems. Essentially she has two issues; Reproductive rights and Trump is unstable, which is ironic in that she looked the other way working for an unstable boss.

Problem is every one of these issues is worse today than it was 4 years ago. They've done nothing the last 6 months to even get people to believe they are serious about change. It would be criminal to not say the obvious it's only going to get worse without a change.

I love the term reproductive rights. What exactly is reproductive rights? I would think it would the freedom to be able to reproduce. This isn't China where you're limited on reproducing. The right to reproduce is clear here. How destroying a fetus is a reproductive right is beyond me? At no point during this destroying a fetus do we ever talk of responsibility of someone's actions banging someone. I want to have sex and no risk of having a kid. It's like saying I want to eat cake all day long and be skinny. Actions matter and we look for every angle to do the things we want to do without the consequences of them and our politicians are so slimy and desperate for votes they'll go along with it for a vote instead of standing up for personal responsibility.

You’re right. Trump isn’t wrong to scare people on issues they care about. That’s the game. He’s better at it than Harris is for sure.

"Reproductive rights" is essentially a slick marketing term to trick the public into believing abortion is a divine right and that it's "healthcare," not terminating a life. I am personally against abortion but I respect the will of the people in each state to make their own laws about it. It's the essence of our system of government. Democrats want the federal government to mandate abortions in every state, which goes against the spirit of our founders.

Abortion, except in the case of rape/incest/health of the mother, is elective surgery and should be treated as any other elective surgery.

Sounds like you're saying the choice to have one is up to the woman and their doctor and politicians shouldn't be involved?

No, as everyone here knows, I’m against abortion except in cases of rape/incest/health of the mother.

What I’m saying is that, when it’s like other elective surgeries, insurance should not cover it.

I'd be fine with that, but the reason why they do isn't because they view it as healthcare, it is because it is significantly cheaper than a delivery and all of the healthcare costs they would incur for a new baby.

That makes sense but is sick.

Condoms are significantly cheaper too.
