No one stays man, look at RJ Louis who is transferring from St John’s. It’s a 10000000x different game now , you have to be ok with this BS or just be done with it.
3-5 players leaving each year is understandable in this environment but this is 2 years in a row that roster is gone to portal
Luis though seems likely to turn pro, so he isn't a great example. But I agree with you 1000%. It is very hard to get kids on good teams to sit, develop, and wait their turn, and especially when you have programs being active in the portal trying to bring in more experienced, older players to play right away. Add to that we just had our worst season in forever, which only makes it easier for this generation to leave rather than stick it out. But if you are Middleton or Dual, as examples, look at how many guards and wings we are rumored to be interested in (regardless of how much or whether they are realistic targets). Start doing "math" and minutes start to get crowded accordingly.
The overwhelming opinion on these boards was “all these guys stink, don’t bring anybody back except maybe Coleman and Godswill.” So they leave and the overwhelming complaint is “how can we have such an empty roster?”
I’m not at all thrilled with the incoming talent so far but it ‘s way too early to call this a disaster. Plenty of names still in the portal. Fingers crossed that we land some good ones.

The average team lost five players last year. And the opinion has been the roster was highly inadequate.

I’m not as worried about the player turnover because everyone is having it. Players just sit in the portal trying to get a bag.
The bigger concern is what type of players this coach and regime are bringing in. Any benefit of doubt that was given is now gone after what we watched last a year.
