I did not want to post this until I actually spoke to Tony, even though I was given prior permission. Tony is in St Barnabas as he more than anyone else at the school is sufferings from the virus. Fortunately the rest of the team and staff are now fine.
Tony is having issues breathing and he now has blood clots as well because of the virus. Talking to him this morning it sounds a lot like he is now going through what I did 2 months ago. And for that he has my sympathy.
Tony's a fighter but he's a little down right now which is understandable because he facing his mortality as I did and that can be startling. The hope is that he can leave the hospital sometime later this week or maybe next week, but that's up in the air right now.
Tony asked that I post this and to ask for the prayers of everyone to aid in his recovery. He's a very religious man.
If anyone wants to send him a message post it here as I will be in touch with him on a regular basis and will pass on your good wishes to him.
In his place Lauren DeFalco will assume his duties with the team.
