SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall's Taylor Jakubowski (Lake in the Hills, Ill.), Madeline Matheny (Wilmington, Del.) and Hanna Tulli (Collegeville, Pa.) were named to the Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.

In order to qualify for the prestigious All-District Team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.50 grade point average, be at least a sophomore academically and must have played in at least 90 percent of her team's contests.

Jakubowski finished a stellar four-year career at Seton Hall with 1,797 career assists, 919 career digs and 47 career double-doubles. In 2023, she finished second on the team with 442 assists and 4.51 assists per set. A Chi Alpha Sigma National Student-Athlete Honor Society member, she is a three-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team selection.

Matheny made a triumphant return after a devastating knee injury last year to lead The Hall in total kills, kills per set and points per set in 2023. She collected 12 double-doubles last season and was named to the UC Irvine Invitational All-Tournament Team and the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Sept. 4. A two-time All-Academic BIG EAST selection, she has maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Tulli had a major breakout year in 2023, collecting career-highs in kills, kills per set, blocks and blocks per set. Her 0.97 blocks per set ranked seventh in the BIG EAST Conference. Named to the Penn State Classic All-Tournament Team, Tulli is a two-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team member and has maintained an impressive 3.72 grade point average.
