I don't know what's going to happen with the tariffs in the long run. I'm willing to give it a chance. Not going nuts because America is taking a risk and not playing it safe. But this is the first era in American history where people haven't suffered for the benefit of the country. If Trump came out and did an FDR type speech of the the harder the sacrifice, the more glorious the triumph people wouldn't be supportive because everyone wants what they want and they want it now. Sacrifice isn't in our vocabulary as a country any more. It wouldn't be terrible to get to a point where we buy things with the tag made in the USA. Question is will the end result be greater than the sacrifice.
And you're right to say something when you don't like it. Teddy Roosevelt once said it's not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public to not speak out with criticism against the president. People lied to us the last 4 years about Biden. I hope we're honest about Trump and criticize when necessary but applaud when necessary. But I'm not going nuts this early in the tariff game. I just find it comical that those who wouldn't criticize the former president for anything, are quick to criticize here. It just shows an agenda.
