Trump's America

Hey Trump is against congestion pricing so every NYC democrat should be for it.NY shore guy blaming Trump for suicide because she was bullied on her immigration status. So logically he blames Biden for all the murders cmmited by illegal migrants Biden policy let in

I go to NYC every week for treatment. I was against this congestion pricing. But, this has cut down the commute considerably. I am all for this congestion pricing.

Of course, you were against it before Trump was against it. Your TDS simply can't allow you to support even one single thing Trump does. Sad.

That’s the most idiotic post. Has nothing to do with Trump. I commute into the city for my cancer treatment every week. Before the congestion pricing Sometimes the commute would take over two hours. Now I am out of the tunnel in 45 minutes and at the hospital in around an hour. If you don’t think that impacts my life, u are mistaken.

I could care less about what Trump thinks. I know that it benefits me. Sorry if my cancer treatment commute interfered with your view of politics.

I hope your treatments are going well, not easy making that trip after treatments. My brother is going through treatments at Mass General and deals with the congestion as well. Wish you the best in your fight.

Thank you. I am at Sloan Kettering and my Treatments are going very well. I am very happy with the progress. It’s just a long journey and battle. Wishing your brother well in his battle. Have to keep pushing through and have hope and faith.

Keep fighting. Win the battle.

Now to the issue. Like anything, it benefits some, hurts others. Congestion pricing is going to add to cost of things in those areas. I don't live there, if the people don't mind paying more great. Person coming from 45 minutes away, it hurts their wallet saves them time. Person who lives there benefits are less people driving around, negative costs go up. It amazes me that people can see tariffs will fall onto the consumer but can't see congestion pricing will fall on the consumer.

What about someone who has to commute to work in NYC 5 days a week, perhaps driving a multi-axle vehicle? Reminds me of neighbors who "gladly" pay high property taxes to support the local government/school system that is leans the way they do.

When I worked in NYC, I commuted by train everyday. It seems like a lot of people stopped using their cars and started to use mass transit to commute into the city. If you live in the city, there are subways and busses to get around. Yes, it may inconvenience some but I think overall, it is a benefit. It just may have made people use mass transit instead of taking their cars.

Hard to argue with the results, but what about incentivizing people to use mass transit, rather than have NY hit NJ residents with yet another tariff?

There is train or bus now the group running it may not be great but its an option. Specific to the rail system...really an infrastructure item that Christie didnt pursue the gateway tunnel project. Look the amtrak infrastructure is decades old and ultimately there are two paths in and out of manhattan island on it. I pay for bus since last fall. It was a great decision to make. I get a nap going and coming. I cut gas and mileage off my vehicle.
