...but hard after a debacle like today. Game left me with an empty feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Have to give Willard a pass after team having performed very well to this point. However, the fact that Willard surrendered with so much time left in the game is not sitting well with me.

Anxious to see how Willard and team respond. Willard has been on the hot seat. This game turned up the flame. Frank

You and I have a few more miles than most of the guys on this board.

If you're like me, we've learned that sometimes in life no matter how hard everyone tries, things just don't work out.

Kevin has worked hard, the recruiting has been good of late, , the players have worked hard, the fans showed up and kept the faith beyond expectations. (Packed the house against Nova last year.) Everyone giving it their all and hoping for the best.

But it's just not there and it's not going to be.

Pat Lyons, The BOR and Kevin must find a way to a quiet, graceful exit. Heads held high for everyone.

Hope all readers can come to WBB Sunday on January 24th . Details pinned above. E-mail guarigliac@yahoo.com for reservations. I'll acknowledge same day.

That's a very measured, rational analysis and I salute you. Until the IW recruiting class Willard didn't have the talent. Now he does. But he can't consistently get the production out of the talent. Yes, the kids do bonehead things. But at some point a good coach gets them to buy in. KW just doesn't have that skill.

I have tried to stay positive.

Now I require to be made to feel positive.

I have a big problem with Willard sitting 3 of his best players with 13 minutes left. There was still time for us to pull something out. Felt like Willard quit on us yesterday.

there was an opportunity yesterday to let the Sophs figure it out and play through it. They need to get those learnings. Willard didn't give them a chance.

What? A pass because the team performed well of late. After 5 1/2 years you'd expect a "good coach" to have his team performing well. But a pass with his track record in unacceptable. The only pass I give him is a Hall pass right out the door ala UNLV. (Coach Rice had 3 yrs left on contract and resigned after meeting with AD. His record and recruiting puts what's his names record to shame btw)

The rest of your post I agree with not that it matters.

If we bounce back, not necessarily with wins, but if we play hard... have a good game plan and we win one out of the next three while play well in the other two....I can live with it.

I'm positive because I know the Seton Hall situation is going to be resolved
one way or another in the next 9 weeks. Either we keep it together, I
believe we still can or there will probably be a change.

I think the mindset on this board will change again if we beat either Providence or Nova at home.
