Not exactly the same skillset but I always thought Tubek had Mike Nzei potential. High energy, good defense, sneaky scorer. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him succeed against lower competition.

To put this into proper context.

He had a 6 game BE stretch in which he got 15+ minutes per game in all but one (10 in that game)

Only averaged 4.1 ppg during that time.

Did David show some flashes on a play by play basis? I would say he did.

I also felt like he gave a constant high end effort defensively. Which is reflected in the 1 steal per game he got during this window.

Just not sure what to project for him at a lower level. Could potentially be a 10 ppg scorer. Won’t shock me.

I think we all saw the burst vs VCU to help us win that game and hoped we would see more of that throughout the year. Just never materialized.
