Seton Hall ‘s disastrous season to date and the lack of fans in the seats at the Rock should spur a greater sense of urgency then I sense exists among the Administration, and the athletic staff to turn this program and its reputation around . If we don’t then we become invisible and that is not what any university should accept.

I am gonna do 3 things. I am going to continue to give my monthly money to Onward and I am going to the games. And I am gonna hope the school gets is act together as best as possible.

Make that 4. I am also going to hope that some common sense enters this discussion at the NCAA level and above, though my hope to will the lottery may have a better chance.

Urgency is important, but they also need a plan. Spending a ton of money on a whole new roster isn’t going to work. We need focused and well-planned spending on a few players that fit what Shaheen is trying to do.

Identify 2-3 kids you really want (probably should include Coleman), spend big to get them, and then figure out the rest.

They must get this budget up first. We don’t have enough at $1.5M-ish to field a competitive team in the Big East. It doesn’t matter who coaches the team. It’s not going to work. It needs to be doubled to get into contention.

**Unless guys want to transfer down, you can probably bring back a good chunk of this roster for cheap. There’s some value in continuity and potential development – yes, even now – on your bench. But the money cannot be spread out the way he tried to this year. I’m talking about Tubek (he flashes at times), Felton, Erheriene, and Yalden. You can see if maybe some solid mid-major backups with them.

Spend 75% of the budget there if you need to as that’s what it may take. I agree with your analysis and would add that we have to take a hard look at Sha’s staff and whether it needs to be “tweaked”.

Engaging a big donor who loves basketball helps. Guys like Mike Repole make $1.5 million in compounding interest while they sleep. Not overly surprising Syracuse basketball has suffered greatly since Boeheim retired and they parted ways with Adam Weitsman.
