Pretty cool that the UConn game is sold out. Fun environment for the girls.

For those that follow the women’s program is this just UConn’s fans traveling? They avg 10k/game so I would imagine a decent amount would travel to a semi local road game.

I got season tickets last year partly so I could guarantee tickets for the UConn game. I was pleasantly surprised how it was mostly SHU fans in the building, probably about 3/4 of the fans were cheering for SHU. I remember one game when I was a student that it was barely 50/50. There has been an increase in season ticket holders and regular fan support in recent years as well. As the program continues to improve, it won’t be long before SHU fans buy out all the tickets to keep UConn fans out just like RU does for men’s games against us at the RAC, and maybe we can finally steal one against them some year. With half the Huskies squad hurt, maybe this could be the year?

Connecticut fans do travel well and keep in mind that there are a lot of us who live in New Jersey. The men are playing in Newark the night before, so that might dampen turn out a little bit with people not wanting to travel two nights in a row.

Yeah, I’m not so sure about that. The box office charges a premium for single game Connecticut tickets. That may be a revenue item that they are hesitant to eliminate.

I do think the woman’s game against Seton Hall will be tough this year. Connecticut is definitely depleted, but even when healthy there is no one that can guard Park-Lane. We will probably rotate defenders on her with Nika Muhl and Aubrey Griffin (Adrian Griffin’s daughter) being the two primary defenders.
