I agree. For the near future I am more interested in it for my parents and in laws. They are probably 5-ish years away from needing the conversation where they won't be able to drive safely anymore. Uber / Lyft will be there if self driving doesn't work out but a self driving car would be idea for them.
While I had the free trials, I enjoyed the novelty of it but no desire to actually pay for it.
I think we all like to control our car, but can also recognize the fact that a new generation of people who can't take their eyes off their phone is also on the road.
I have to ask the registered Dems on this board if they are ok burning Tesla’s and terrorizing the folks driving them. A lot of the liberal media seems to be promoting violence. Just wondering how far the hate goes. Firing bullets into show room windows acceptable? Burning cars a peaceful demonstration. At what point does hate have no place. Do people who drive Tesla’s need to die before liberals say that’s enough.

My biggest peeve these days on the roads is the people who have the phone mounted to the dashboard. I've seen tons of people watching TV on that while they drive. Absolutely insane, yet the police do nothing about it.
Not worried about you, but no democratic leaders coming out against what is happening or calling for it to end. Posters who hate Trump go all in on violence. I would bet it’s not as clear cut as you might think. They don’t want wars to end, hate the thought of the government being more efficient. What exactly are they fighting for? To keep criminals in our country.
People who hate Trump are so deluded. They are obsessed with him and opposing everything he does. Impossible to have a rational conversation with them. It's scary and sad at the same time. I know a few in my daily life, it's harming their mental health. I'm not surprised some of the more unstable ones resort to violence. They're really that crazy.
I have a buddy who owns a very large accounting firm, great guy reminds me of several posters on this site. Carry’s protesting signs in the trunk of his car, I do admire his enthusiasm but 100% is OK with violence against Tesla. Watches a steady diet of MSNBC and cannot separate reality from the burning hate he feels for Trump. The wars could end, inflation could go down, peace and prosperity could reign, homelessness could end, they could cure cancer and my buddy would find something to complain about or better yet explain why democrats should get the credit. He cannot have a discussion without getting filled with hate. Smile as I write this because I still love this guy our discussions are actually very interesting. Crazy but we all have more in common than we think. The media both sides try’s to divide us.

The strategy with a Democratic majority in Congress was to investigate, investigate, investigate, which made the Democratic base happy and hamstrung much of his agenda from being put forth. (Remember something as simple as the wall on the Mexican border getting pushback and little momentum - which now everyone has no issue?).
This time it was also a surprise, but not nearly as much. And with a Republican House and Senate (and Supreme Court ruling on Executive immunity AND Biden's use of the pardon), there WILL NOT be any investigations. The Democratic base is left with doing juvenile protests (like the ones at the President's address or the press gatherings with stupid songs). And now they are resorting to violence with Tesla. With Trump implementing his agenda at breakneck speed, they have chosen to continue with the "Not Trump" strategy. I think this explains the number of unhinged posts you see on social media. It's off the charts and they are apoplectic.
