INDIANPOLIS, IND. — After a record-breaking season Allie Waggoner has been invited to swim the 1650 Freestyle, 500 Freestyle and 400 I.M. at the 2025 NCAA Women's Swim and Dive Championships, the NCAA announced Wednesday.

With her invitation to swim at NCAAs this season, Waggoner become the first female Pirate swimmer and second overall swimmer in Seton Hall History to compete at the NCAA Swim & Dive Championships. The only other Pirate swimmer to earn that distinction is Kevin Webster. As a Pirate, Webster earned a spot at the 2011 NCAA Swim and Dive Championships and currently holds three school records.

In her senior season, Waggoner has been nothing short of dominant. She unanimously won the 2025 Most Outstanding Women's Swimmer at the 2025 BIG EAST Swim and Dive Championship, where she won three events, including a BIG EAST and school record-breaking swim to win the 1650 free for the third consecutive year with a time of16:06.75. The record knocked over seven seconds off the previous BIG EAST-best set by West Virginia's Rachael Burnett in 2012.

Aside from 1650 freestyle, Waggoner produced a dominant midseason performance at the Bucknell Invitational mid-season meet. While in Lewisburg, she lowered her own school record in the 400 IM and the 500 Freestyle by nearly three seconds in both events, producing time of 4:13.83 and 4:44.97 respectively.

The NCAA Women's Swim and Dive will be held at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Washington, from Wednesday, March 19 to Saturday, March 22. The championships will be streamed on ESPN+.
