I saw when Davis was on the mic and the crowd chanted 1 more year, our own K Richmond chanted it with them...... dont know if it means anything but just my observation

Without any inside knowledge, My thought always was that Davis was moving on after this season and was not completely about money. Parents were moving back to Indiana after two years in NJ, plus his girlfriend being done at SPU and his daughter.
I have always felt Richmond would be willing to stay if we were competitive with NIL and kept decent team around him, so makes sense he was urging Davis to stay.
Just my take, could be completely off base.

Maybe so, I just noticed he showed enthusiasm in the crowds chant which made me feel like he wanted to have all back , we would be so good
