Wasting no time…

Just about very single recruit save Clark has been dumped on. Now the team is pretty much assembled and they’re being dumped on collectively. They’ve been together maybe a week. Give it a chance. If you want to dump on somebody continue taking aim at our administrators who created this mess.

I haven’t “dumped” on 1 player. I take a dump 💩 on the NIL pro circuit and the end of student athlete sports. NIL created this mess, not the SH administration. SH b-ball, and maybe all SH sports, is RIP as many of us knew & loved it.

I think Dar and Suemnick are darkhorses

I think they are still getting to know each other. So, I would not read too much into it. The litmus test will come when they are on the court. Actually, it was a good attempt at team building. Not the worst way to see lower Manhattan either.

Never heard of Dar or Sum until they popped for us.

Fisher I recall a bit from Depaul.

I can buy Fisher potentially being able to get buckets and Dar potently being solid.

I don’t see it with Sum based on the body of work to date.

i remember last years team building softball game. That was awesome. Guys were really having a great time. Looked like they were coming together.

But what it didn’t do…..help us get the ball in the hoop. But hey we had a group who really bonded right?

The bar is so low for this program now that, hey, at least they're doing things and getting it out on social media. That alone is a positive step for this group.

Maybe I’m drinking the wine, but I think this year’s team will be A LOT better than last year’s team. I’m not expecting a tourney appearance or to compete with the top 4 teams in the BE. I also don’t think this year’s team will lose to Hofstra/Fordham and will only 2 BE games.

For a few months we can all drink the wine… It may the only chance we get this year! 🤣

The case iMO is two-fold:

1, We are going to win more games simply because it is hard to go 2-18 in the BE and have some of the OOC losses we had.

2, Clark and the plethora of guards/wings will be better than the combination of Coleman/DAW/Jenkins/Dual/Middleton, especially if Clark is able to facilitate in a way none of the other “lead guards” were and one or two newcomers shoot it better.

3. Because of the upgrade re: 2, it will outweigh front court issues/problems in a way we couldn’t last year.

I can see a world where #2 happens. But there is some caution there too:

Not a slam dunk we have anyone on this team better than Coleman, especially when he really caught fire in the OOC/Big East.

Plenty of folks here liked Dual. I didn’t think he facilitated at all but was a good defender. Jury out if Clark is an upgrade because I could have easily, easily seen Dual putting up a stat like at Merrimack that we saw from Clark last year.

Knock DAW all you want, but he was a kid who played big minutes over 4 years in the Big East. The guys we are bringing in the door wouldn’t have been able to play in the Big East let alone play big minutes throughout their career like DAW.

Curious to see the OOC schedule. Will it be about testing the guys or just racking up the win column as much as we can before big east play.

I don’t think we will be worse than last year. Though the standard needs to be much higher than that of course.

My case is smple. Thinking we will be better makes me happier. And thinking we may suck is as meaningless as thinking we will be better. So I spend my meaningless thoughts in the positive aisle.
this actually makes a ton of sense

My thinking is Maui, RU and the seven dwarfs. Without any knowledge, I'm sure we'll see the usual suspects -- SPU, Wagner, Monmouth et al.
