I just finished reading two very in depth articles in the NSL about Vivian Stringer's angst at te NCAA tourney selection committee..... but I thought that was old news... already reported and not worthy of mention on game day..

I expected to see a write up about the match ups , maybe an interview to include SHU's coach.... what's his name???? oh, his name was thrown in one of the articles towards the end.

Stringer did mention SHU's experience and there was a side bar write up of Deedee, Daisha and Jaynee..... but it was almost a grudging reference to her opponent today.

Shameful reporting..... but what's new?

RL, you know what, just go out there this afternoon and beat them on the court! Let's see what the Star Ledger says then

Wherever did you get the idea that people care about ladies hoops?

How much attention did you pay to the ladies tourney in years past? I don't even watch the RU ladies unless or until they get to the sweet 16. Like it or not CVS has a lot of gravitas. When she talks people in the sports world listen, and that is of benefit to women's hoops both locally and generally. Because most people know little and care even less about it. It's sort of like when Bob Hurley talks about HS hoops. If anyone else says what he does people are left wondering why they should care.

82, Of course the complaint here has to do with the proliferation of Rutgers athletics' coverage in the Newark Star Ledger, as compared to SHall coverage. To read those Ledger articles over the last 2 days[including the reporting of the game itself], you could just about infer that the Ledger considers RU a home team, and Seton Hall anything but. This has been a pet peeve of many Pirate fans for quite a long time, and rightfully so. It stands to reason, for whatever reason, that the NSL without question far prefers Rutgers athletics to Seton Hall's. So it is, that's the way it goes, It's just very frustrating from a SHall perspective

Be careful what you wish for, Joe. More coverage by the Star Ledger doesn't mean more favorable coverage. If you were RU the Star Ledger would still be stirring the pot on Sina's departure and pounding Lyons in print daily over Willard's buyout. You don't want the kind of coverage that rag gives.
