This is the worst team I’ve ever seen put on this uniform.

We saw some really bad basketball in the early PJ years. This is worse. This team could lose 25 games. Sanders making shots makes it even harder to watch. If still here we’d run the offense thru him.
He’s got him playing PG and running offense through him. 🤷♂️

Gotta figure he emptied the bank on Dual and Middleton. Both can hardly get off the bench. Real nice.
The NIL free agency is fast and furious. There’s little time to evaluate players and the good ones get gobbled up pretty quickly. There was some familiarity with dual, Middleton and Coleman. Problem is when you have such a small budget to work with you can afford maybe 1 miss in talent, you can’t miss on 3 or 4 players or you end up with what we have now.
Yet Sha will have his pretty new practice facility. Infrastructure issues are no longer as Important as they once were in recruiting. Now it’s all about how much you can pay a recruit and we are not competitive as we need to be and that’s our reality.
DePaul didn’t play any defense. This team can defend. The offense, on the other hand, is as bad as any high major team I’ve ever watched.
Even more maddening when I think back to all the preseason interviews and how defense was the buzz word. Makes me wonder how much time Sha actually spends coaching offense, if any. Clearly he needs to find a balance because this is not an acceptable way of playing basketball.
Well congrats to the people who preseason said there’s no way we would finish 10th for being right.
I’m not sure DePaul had/has a lesser budget. I’m pretty sure their NIL is more than SHU
Based on Trilly’s intel, bottom 3 NIL schools this year were SHU, Boston College, and Virginia Tech.
Depaul had a total Nil Budget of less than 2 million which it afforded in large part by paying Holtzman a 1.5m salary ( OSU still owes him @ 8.5 -the amount after deduction of DePaul Money) DePaul promised and in the process of building a 30 m practice facility)
I have no idea what DePaul’s NIL was this year, but it’s pretty well known SHU’s is behind it by a decent margin.
If you’re saying depaul’s is less than SHU, it’s the first time it’s ever been said on here or any other NIL tracker.
How do you know depaul’s NIL?

Most everything out there on NIL is either wrong or not totally accurate and riddled with contradictions between “sources”.
The crazy part to me is that you could probably find kids to play for free that would have performed better than what we got this season. Without a doubt this team will be one of the worst returns on investment we may ever see.
