I called this one back in December. I've coached against him at the grassroots level, and figured this was the next move for him. He is very quick, really creative off the dribble and hard for people to stay in front of. Outside shooting could be more consistent but mechanics aren't bad, he does have range, and is a three level scorer. Can finish at the rim through contact and over bigger defenders. Creates well for others, both the routine pass and the spectacular. Pesky defender. Absolutely belongs at this level. Does needs the ball in his hands all the time, so there is an iso component to his game which leads to others standing and watching, but overall this is a really solid pickup. Sha will really enjoy working with this kid, and helping smooth out any flaws in his game.
Quite frankly, we should be going after every mid major star in the northeast. It makes sense fiscally, these kids can really play, and moving to this level is a win for them. And for goodness sake, let's bring in some perimeter shooters.
