OK, I know, 2 posts in one day from me, never happened before. But can someone tell me what WFAN's problem is with us? I was out driving most of the morning, listening to the 20/20 updates. Not one word about our game today. Mentioned St. John's vs Syracuse. Mentioned Rutgers loss, Columbia's game and 2-3 other local schools. This seems to happen often with them. I just don't get it. I can see the emphasis on St. John's as they are a NYC team and Francesa is a grad but we are closer and better than Rutgers for goodness sakes. Did we do something to someone over there we don't get the recognition ever from them?

Is Joey Waller still doing some work at the FAN? He'd find a way to get his some airtime.

Yes, Joey Wahler is still there. It just seems the majority of the update staff just totally ignore us. I get they are not going to talk about us much right now but at least give the courtesy of saying we have a game or tell the score. Jeepers!

Do not want to mention Seton Hall because we are much better than their favorite team St John's.

Pretty easy. St John's Beat Syracuse. We beat St Peters. Why should we get mentioned??

This may be a reflection on our sports information people. They need to call radio stations to remind the sports desk that we have a game. They should monitor the sports stations and get us in the mix.

I don't believe our sport's information people's have the responsibility to call the media and remind them we are playing. If they are mentioning basketball teams from N.J., we deserve to be mentioned.

Ughhh, no.

Do you listen to the fan? When they run down their updates they mention everyone from Iona and Fordham to St. John's. It doesn't matter who you are playing.

To be fair I have heard our scores on the updates before, but more often than not we are excluded.

While this is wrong and if I was still at 1010 WINS I wouldn't let this happen, it simply boils down to how irrevelant we are. B/c we have a much smaller alumni base than most of the schools listed above/are in NJ, we're not going to get mentioned until we're good again. Sucks, but that's how it is.

Until we start winning big games consistently we are irrelevant. And this is not the fault of the SID people.

Hate to, but have to agree with BS on this. We really haven't earned much coverage, even if it's just a mention that we are playing.

In francesa's defense, he doesn't seem to be a shrew for his alma mater. In fact, seems like just the opposite. I think he had a falling out with people at St. John's. Not that that's anything new for him.

That's the way "news" is today even reporting scores. Trump gets 90% of the candidate coverage for being outrageous. Not comparing CBB to the election, but selective reporting is now the norm.

I think we have to be fair with WFAN on this one. They have 2 football teams. 3 hockey teams, 2 basketball teams, the Winter baseball meetings, SJU, any other newsworthy story during updates. I notice they do a lumping of the winning local college teams and then the losing local teams especially during the OOC. During the BigEast season they make a bit more of a fuss about Seton Hall. Len Berman mentioned we pounded St Peters on his morning WWOR show.

I think the SHU Sports Info Department has to make sure that they mention that the Seton Hall game is being played at such and such a time on WFAN updates.

Sadly, in this world there is virtually no "right" or "wrong", but there is $ and cents.

Squeaky wheel gets greased.

It is the SID's job to grease these wheels.

It is OUR fans' responsibility to grease these wheels!!

IMHO a few phone calls and emails from us peons can accumulate into incentive --- at least to their internal "goals".

Make this same complaint on Facebook and I'll bet you get a reaction!
