Where are all the backseat coaches this evening?

I agree, 2-1 is a pretty damn good week all things considered but I disagree that an ass kicking was expected.

I wonder what the excuse will be after they lose at PC? And gosh, how on earth are they going to survive four or five days on the road at Marquette and DePaul in late January?!?!?!

The tone was set very early in this contest. Watching the SHU players try to force the issue in the paint was concerning. If you get the ball it does not mean you must create a shot attempt at all costs. You are allowed to pass the ball. Bediako should consider losing that lefty whatever that is. Richmond also guilty of insane "creativity" offensive shots. Xavier obviously packed the paint and converged on the SHU players. So, spacing and patience might be a better route. Some of that is on Sha but not all of it. We looked more like last season's team trying to bullrush the basket. No real adjustments made along with a lackluster approach. I'd still say a great BounceBack week, but I guess the doubt has crept back in moving forward. You lose road games in this conference and that is to be expected. At 43-42 it was still bad. Then it got really bad. They need more focus at Providence.

To the coach's credit he's not using excuses. But whether a coach uses them or not the job is to figure it out. Sha said he saw this attitude in the days prior to the game at Xavier. 🤷‍♂️
