We control our own destiny when it comes to finishing ahead of Butler, so I'd like to see the Butler do it again today.Creighton (7-5) at Xavier (7-5)
Providence (6-6) at Butler (6-6)
The home game vs X is huge. If we lose to them they own the tie breaker vs us. And of course we need to at least split with Nova as far as tiebreaker is concerned. As long as none of these teams beat Uconn, we will have tiebreaker over any teams we split with in regular season
We can't lose with the Creighton Xavier game. First, it is not a certainty that Creighton will finish in third place. They have many tough games remaining. They probably will finish in third. Their two-game losing streak opened the door for Seton Hall. Of course, I know that Creighton is more talented and a better team than SHU. An Xavier win really helps SHU in that race to third. An Xavier loss takes a little pressure for our game with them on Wednesday should The Hall lose to Nova. So, it's not terrible either way.Creighton (7-5) at Xavier (7-5)
Providence (6-6) at Butler (6-6)
Didn't score 15 or 16 on 20 shots vs us?Amazing how Epps from georgetown can't hit broadside of a barn today so far.
I agree with most of your point. I just feel that if SHU finishes 3rd or 4th in the conference, the other BigEast teams can't hurt us as much. UConn, Marquette and Creighton are in. I'd like to see Providence start to lose and fall out as you say. There will still be "some" human decisions made around Selection Sunday. At this point I'd say Butler looks good. Nova in huge trouble. So, you can make the argument about SHU, SJU and Xavier for sure.Creighton and Butler. NCAA implications are more important than Big East standings. We need to have Xavier and Providence (and Villanova for that matter) lose games and fall out of the picture. They are direct competitors with us for one of the last few NCAA bids.
UConn, Marquette, Creighton, Butler, and Seton Hall (most importantly) winning would be the best results for Seton Hall this weekend.
He missed 13 shots the other nightAmazing how Epps from georgetown can't hit broadside of a barn today so far.

Ummmm, I wish our fambase had an ounce of their “nutty” fandom. Best fanbase in BE, we’re not in the same stratosphereProvidence fans on their board are nuttier than people here…
Tracking the flight status of a a plane sitting on the runway at TF Green Airport with a flight plan filed to Indianapolis….. Also wondering why his wife couldn’t have a c-section tomorrow.

Yeah that last play was pretty hard to call nothing. Floyd beat his man to the basket, went and and got hacked on the arm by both Butler rotational help guys attempting to dunk.Very very very tough no call at the end for the Friars.
BUT….. that’s the way the league has been officiated all year.
Breeding was on that game…. Have a feeling he might be in Philly tomorrow.
your missing the point. It’s not about being in second place. It’s about where we are on Feb. 11 as compared to where we thought we would be Oct. 11Who cares about second place, we want SJU to lose games. Direct competitor for a NCAA bid.
