We control our own destiny when it comes to finishing ahead of Butler, so I'd like to see the Butler do it again today.

Going with Creighton because Miller is just easy to root against. And I'm not so sure when it's all said and done we'll be in a tie breaker with Creighton.

Definitely Creighton, have to assume they finish ahead of us. Need to beat out X for optics. I also firmly believe only a certain number of BE teams make the tourny. The hicks in that conf room have no clue what the BE is all about, hence they end up having a slew of overrated B10, ACC, SEC teams in the field…. Other game is both helps/hurts us no matter what. PC has the much tougher schedule down the stretch. As long as none of these teams beat Uconn, we will have tiebreaker over any teams we split with in regular season

We can't lose with the Creighton Xavier game. First, it is not a certainty that Creighton will finish in third place. They have many tough games remaining. They probably will finish in third. Their two-game losing streak opened the door for Seton Hall. Of course, I know that Creighton is more talented and a better team than SHU. An Xavier win really helps SHU in that race to third. An Xavier loss takes a little pressure for our game with them on Wednesday should The Hall lose to Nova. So, it's not terrible either way.

I think we should root for Butler today. Since people are pushing the Providence over SHU narrative due to the NET, we want Providence to eliminate themselves because of their loss accumulation. They have many hard games left also. Butler, looks the part of an NCAA team. They can help us today. The Hall needs to take care of its own business. Some of these BigEast teams will be in and some will be out. So, just win. Beating Xavier and Butler at home would really help. Beat Nova and it's an excellent weekend.

Creighton and Butler. NCAA implications are more important than Big East standings. We need to have Xavier and Providence (and Villanova for that matter) lose games and fall out of the picture. They are direct competitors with us for one of the last few NCAA bids.

UConn, Marquette, Creighton, Butler, and Seton Hall (most importantly) winning would be the best results for Seton Hall this weekend.

I agree with most of your point. I just feel that if SHU finishes 3rd or 4th in the conference, the other BigEast teams can't hurt us as much. UConn, Marquette and Creighton are in. I'd like to see Providence start to lose and fall out as you say. There will still be "some" human decisions made around Selection Sunday. At this point I'd say Butler looks good. Nova in huge trouble. So, you can make the argument about SHU, SJU and Xavier for sure.

Trilly Donovan has some interesting scuttlebut about the coaches in the Creighton-Xavier game and their futures. 🤷‍♂️

Wonder if Sean Miller:Xavier = Rick Pitino:Iona. And McDermott, no clue. Already been there for 14 years, maybe leveraging, maybe eyeing Ohio State; he turned them down once a few years ago.

Xavier and Providence. I’m aiming big.

Providence fans on their board are nuttier than people here…

Tracking the flight status of a a plane sitting on the runway at TF Green Airport with a flight plan filed to Indianapolis….. Also wondering why his wife couldn’t have a c-section tomorrow.

Ummmm, I wish our fambase had an ounce of their “nutty” fandom. Best fanbase in BE, we’re not in the same stratosphere

Very very very tough no call at the end for the Friars.

BUT….. that’s the way the league has been officiated all year.

Breeding was on that game…. Have a feeling he might be in Philly tomorrow.

Both butler and PC needed this one today. Both teams with difficult schedules remaining. Butler should have the edge for the bubble vs PC

Yeah that last play was pretty hard to call nothing. Floyd beat his man to the basket, went and and got hacked on the arm by both Butler rotational help guys attempting to dunk.

That’s almost as automatic as it gets for a foul call.

I would not be happy if I were a Providence fan

weird time of the season for this Gonzaga Kentucky matchup… good game tho

Who cares about second place, we want SJU to lose games. Direct competitor for a NCAA bid.
your missing the point. It’s not about being in second place. It’s about where we are on Feb. 11 as compared to where we thought we would be Oct. 11

We're in a great spot whether we're in second, third, or fourth compared to where everyone thought we'd be in October. The mission now is to get a bid. Just win.
