Who ya got?

wsu has a three headed center...I would foul Delgado and force SHU to beat them from the line or from the outside. If they do we have little chance to win. If we hit our foul shots(unlikely) and control the inside we can win.
Never that simple as eventually you get to the double bonus meaning every Pirate gets two shots as opposed to one and ones.

Plus W. State prides themselves in their D. Giving up fouls shots, except in special situations goes against their strength.

I think the Pirates have a sizeable frontcourt advantage in this game. Not sure if WSU has seen a team that attacks the glass like our forwards. Should be interesting and could offset their sizeable guard advantage.

If this is true... A follow up question must be asked... Do our guards continue to get our frontcourt players the ball in optimal positions for success? ... Or do they revert back to earlier this season's and last year's "guard only" offense?

One of the things that WSU is really good at is denying passes. They like to clog passing lanes. Against UNLV Zimmerman only got off 6 shots, and against Utah Poeltl only got off 5 shots.

Pirates come out psyched and lead by 7; (so KW subs out four starters...)

Shockers turn us over and we don't get back on D, Shockers go up 12

With 6 minutes to go IW feels the "big time" requirements and puts on a show, closing to +/- 3 either way.

IW hits an NBA tre at the buzzer to win by 1.

79-78

The major factor in this game will be turnovers. WSU plays a low possession style but their incredible turnover margin (top 10 in protecting the ball as well as turning the opponent over) allows them to get extra possessions and overcome average to poor shooting percentages.

If we turn the ball over more than 12 or 13 times (educated guess on the breaking point), we'll probably lose. That's what I'm most nervous about.

I'm interested to see what we can do from the three point line. WSU allows opponents to shoot 38% from deep, including a 24-54 (.444) mark in the games VanVleet HAS played in (Tulsa, St. Louis, UNLV, Utah).

Willard has repeatedly made comments about the team fighting through difficulty and not hanging their heads. He mentions it as a reflection of maturity and I think it's a very relevant point for tomorrow's game.

Keep attacking the boards. That'll keep us hanging around.

A few people are mentioning turnovers, but I don't see that as the major factor. Tomorrow's a nationally televised game. Are we showcasing our individual talents on Fox? Are we continuing to improve team ball? This comes down to the style of ball we play and how many possessions we waste with poor shot selection. They will destroy us if we play street ball. We can beat these guys if we value the basketball on each possession and get after the 50/50 balls.

21 Seton Hall games are on national TV this year. 23 if you include the two games on CBS Sports Network, which is in plenty of households.

The only thing unique about this one is it's on an over-the-air network. But does that really matter in this day of cable, satellite and web-based streaming?

Easier to find or bump into, I guess.
