Whoa

Playing very well --fun Game to watch
I'm becoming a believer in Georgetown. Sorber is the best freshman in the league and a legit force inside. 3 good-very good guards (including Epps). And some long wings/forwards that can disrupt on defense and shoot the 3.

GU played well and hard down to the end but it’s just so hard to close out games against good teams in a hostile environment. And MU is an excellent team. A tough loss on the road for GU.

Marquette has the best single season offensive guard in the modern big east era

GU made lots of errors. The three in the last minute were not forced by the D. That kid losing his footing at halfcourt, the very obvious movign pick. And the other TO was just as bad as I remember.

I am chuckling to myself, seeing this stuff forgiven but only for a rival. We made one play like that and it was bedlam negativity.

Errors that may have been solved with a mall experienced ball handler in the game. Might look different with Epps in the lineup

He wasnt. They turned it over on three consecutive critical possessions. And we say great job.

I find it comical.

They played a great 39 minutes. But as I saw it, Mq's great TO defense wasnt the problem in the last minute. They made bad plays. I cant remember the Mack TO but the other two were just bad, unforced errors.

I saw a play just as bad last week. A PG could not make a pass (on this play, the defense actually was a factor) and was unable to get off a potentially winning shot. As I remember, that play was not seen here with the same understanding as the GU unforced miscues.

So many fans here love to hate SHU. But not the other teams. Do you know what I mean?

That flows both ways. There are opposing head coaches, for example, who get littered with loads of hate or questioning that is neither objective nor based in reality. Same with certain opposing teams and players. That's what happens with message boards.

A driving force for the Gtown end-of-game disaster was our overall performance and record. If we were in a better position, and if the player in question was not an absolute lightning rod on the board, it would have been different.

I agree with all of the comments above. Yes there were TOs by GU and yes the negativity towards SHU for those mistakes would be like a landslide. But my point is that it is extremely hard for visiting teams to execute late in hostile environments. That’s why home teams win such an overwhelming percentage of their home games. Heck, last year MU couldn’t even execute an inbound pass against us with 6 seconds left. It’s just the way it is on the road.
