Same people voting no to that who voted no to a bi-partisan commission on Jan 6th. They're idiots masquerading as "Patriots".

Hard to oppose investigating and downplay what happened that day, and then say the police were brave.
There isn't a requirement. The requirement is if congress approves to show appreciation for whatever they want, or not. Jack Nicklous has one for basically being good at golf.

Not really. You would have a pretty difficult time finding members that have voted for some congressional gold medals and against others.
There was real risk for the officers who were on duty that day as they attempted to keep control of the Capitol Building. The House passes a bill essentially thanking them and you refer to it as "everyone gets a trophy"?

I find it comical that many members of the pro-police crowd (of which I am) are so ambivalent towards what the capitol police dealt with that day and even making up phony conspiracy theories about that days events to shift blame (see Tucker Carlson last night). Its all quite sad.
It's not that big of a deal. They only get some flour.
