Great accomplishment by this team and well deserved. What has not been discussed but should be noted is that our 7-0 record was accomplished with only 3 home games and after Georgia we will have played 5 away games out of 8 this season . Not an easy task facing any team and the staff and players have responded to it well. Not only have we played on the road a lot but they included long trips to Texas and Mexico. No one can say our record was based on a lot of "home cooking".

And that 'home cooking' included two dominating wins against quality competition in Rutgers and Princeton.

Princeton has lost 3 games in the last couple of years. Two to the Hall.

Would love to see us play Georgia at home but beating Georgia on the road would make a real statement on how tough this team is.

Congratulations to the Pirates!

They are now ranked in both polls.

They will go to Georgia with a major incentive to win- maintaining their ranking.

Georgia is a good veteran team with 10 players returning. They were predicted to finish 9th in the 14-team SEC.

Don't let that prediction fool you into thinking that's not good. There are now five SEC teams in the AP Top 25, and two other teams receiving votes.

Actually, those five teams- South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Mississippi St. and Kentucky- are in the AP Top 12.

It's a very tough league. I'm sure Coach Stefanopoulos can tell you all about it.

400 - this is right on about Georgia. I still remember how over-heated Walsh Gym was last year during the game when they visited. Their coach was reduced to a massive dumpster fire of anger and frustration towards the end. You can bet they will be playing with brass knuckles. Most of their players are back - most of the players they detested (ours) are gone - and they'll be taking out their frustrations on a new crew. And that's my worry - that our new players will be shocked by the potential animosity of the Georgia play. It will be a very demanding test.

Georgia has a new head coach Joni Taylor , the associate head coach , who replaced the long time former head coach who retired after last season.

BP
She replaced Andy Landers who had been the head coach for 36 years and in his last season he didn't make the NCAA's breaking a string of 20 consecutive trips there. This will be a big test for us and winning this game will be a plus for us at selection time.

Thanks for the update on the new coach, 80. Man, I remembered that guy. Just as angry crazy as the Nova WBB coach. By which I mean, I really dislike coaches who use humiliation as a method of instruction.
