SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall Head Coach Natalie Desjardins announced the 2023 Seton Hall women's golf fall schedule on Monday. The Pirates will participate in four tournaments this fall.
Seton Hall will open the 2023-24 year with the Princeton Invitational, Sept. 16-17. It will be the 11th time in 14 years that the Pirates have participated in the event. Most recently, Seton Hall placed fifth in a field of 11 teams last fall with a 44-over-par, 300-301-295-896. Rising senior Ginevra Zavagli (Rome, Italy) placed 11th with a solid 6-over-par, 75-72-72-219. Seton Hall won the team title at this event in 2019.
Two weeks later, The Hall will play three rounds of golf at the Navy Invitational, Sept. 30-Oct. 1, at Navy's own golf club in Annapolis, Md. While Seton Hall's men's team has played the Navy Invitational multiple times in its history, this will be the first time the women have taken on the Navy course.
The Hall will return to action, Oct. 9-10, for three rounds at the Grandover Invitational, hosted by the University of North Carolina Greensboro. The event will take place at the Grandover Resort & Conference Center's East Course.
Finally, the Pirates will conclude play in the fall with another familiar tournament, the Lady Blue Hen Invitational, Oct. 21-22, at Rehoboth Beach Country Club in Rehoboth Beach, Del. Hosted by the University of Delaware, the Pirates placed fifth last fall in a 12-team field following a 40-over-par, 298-310-296-904. Ana Sarrias Pro (Cadiz, Spain) was the top returning Pirate in the event, placing 17th overall with a 75-78-73-226. This will be the seventh time in the last nine years playing the event for Seton Hall. The Pirates claimed the team title in 2018.
