Great job by the women! The girls are carrying the banner high this year.

Erin McClure shot a brilliant two under par 70 today. In the entire field two over par was the next best score today. Congrats! NCAA bound again.

Erin McLure is one hell of a golfer-what a swing- and a very nice young lady. . She's from Tuscon Arizona and is very happy with her decision to attend Seton Hall.

I met her Mom a few weeks back who said she was also a terrific soccer player early in high school but went with golf.

Her Mom also couldn't be happier with SHU and our golf program. Coach Sara Doell gets high marks.

Retaining the BE championship was a major goal this year. Well done ladies.

Does anyone remember the last time SH won back to back conference championships in any sport.

Congratulations to the Pirates.

It's hard to win a championship. It's even harder to repeat.

I believe no Pirate team has done it since softball in 2004 & 2005.

On to the NCAA.

Go Pirates!

When I first saw that the women's golf team repeated as conference champions I had forgotten that the team is only in its fifth year of existence and in both year four and year five it won the Conference championship and an NCAA bid which is an exceptional achievement for a team that came into existence not that long ago. Then I thought of the job Tony has done in his two years as head of the women's program getting us into the NIT in year one and a regular season Conference championship and a NCAA bid in year two and the success of both programs does reaffirm the oft discussed premise that the most important element in building a successful program is finding the right coach.
