Self inflicted. Extended the guy’s contract based off of rumors. All the damage is done by ourselves. Just terrible judgement from top to bottom.

After the worst season in 25 years, no NCAA tournament appearances, and nothing going for the program, you think that if the team is this bad next year that the seat shouldn't be burning because 5 years ago he had a good run at another school?

That is crazy and that is some all time great job security for a coach who has done very little here other than giving us an NIT championship which no one cares about.

I would say Shaheen needs to stop losing to teams with much lower NIL than us and stop getting blown out every other game (a huge issue during Sha's whole time here which will always hamper us from making the NCAA tournament), then thats progress. If there is another season like this he should 1 million percent be fired. It couldn't get any worse really.

We've never been a program rich in resources. Sha knew that & that NIL was a thing when he took the job. Bottom line is he needs to bring in better talent, & coach them better. He also needs to figure out a way for the program form some kind of bond with the media & campus community. If he hasn't proven he can do it in 4 years, it's time to move on.

This is well said. Even with our squad last year- maximized for budget or not… 7 out of our 12 losses were by 13 points are more. Of which 6 were by 18 points or more. Of which 4 were by 20 points or more. Sha’s teams don’t just lose games. They get run out of the gym with no show performances. The lack of consistency and the frequency is a major red flag to sha as a coach
