Congrats to Willard on the Sweet 16. What a difficult shot that kid Queen made. Talk about setting yourself up to be second guessed. That shot was about as hard as one can have inside the 3 point line, and if he misses it there would be all kinds of questioning the play.
Got his best player one on one, downhill against slow footed Ethan Morton. Thought it was a pretty good play considering the circumstances.

Play seemed fine. He went away from the "crowd" towards the side where only a MD shooter was positioned, and the C. St. kid was not going to leave the "shooter", so basically it was creating a one-v-one in space for Queen. The C. St. kid defended that about as well as you could -- a point Jay Wright just made in the studio but which seemed pretty apparent even for someone uneducated in such things like me -- forcing Queen to make what Wright called an incredibly difficult shot when you consider where and how he shot that ball.
The game winner was awesome. But you can watch hoops for a long time and not see a center make the move Queen made earlier on the amazing spin move.
Blatant violation of any kind should never not be whistled because of status of game

I thought Colorado State played it well. They got the big on him close with a hand in his face. Queen simply hit a hugely difficult bank shot, what can you do. Just like the C St. player hit that bomb 3.
But you see the skill level of elite players in this tournament which has been dominated by the big money teams. Smooth, strong, make shots.

Not a big fan of Reese offensively, but I said feed Queen a bunch of times. What team today feeds a good post man enough?
Yeah, probably but not going to call that with 3 seconds left. A situation in 1989 educated refs on that. Also it seems players are getting an additional half step to get their plant foot down when they are going to the basket.
