The previous 4 games, we played good perimeter defense, albeit against teams that shoot poorly

Marquette would have beaten us if they could have hit the broad side of a barn. Shooting poorly with wide open looks is not good defense.

Not really. When you play good defense you get into the opponents' heads and throw off their rhythm, causing them to even miss open shots.

We rank 280th in 3 pt. defending and that includes as you posted teams that shoot poorly. We are not in anybody's head and don't have our own head on straight defending the 3 pt. shot. Home and away opponents shoot over 36% from 3 against us and other than VU and CU most stink at shooting the 3.

Poor officiating aside, we sure picked one hell of a lousy time to stop owning gtown.
