Cincinnati picked up a commitment in the Class of 2016 on Tuesday as three-star big man Nysier Brooks pledged to the Bearcats. Brooks announced his choice on Twitter.
A 6-foot-8, 220-pound big man, Brooks plays with We R1 in the Under Armour Association. In 12 games this spring, Brooks only averaged 3.4 points per game, but had a team-leading 5.1 rebounds per game for a first-place team. Regarded as a three-star prospect, Cincinnati is locking up a big man they coveted right before the July live evaluation period.
Brooks is Cincinnati’s first commitment in the 2016 class and his tough and rugged style of play and focus on rebounding will make him a piece that they wanted with their style of play.
