THE GAME

Seton Hall will play its first road game of the season on Friday, November 10 when it makes the short trip to Columbia University. Tip time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

MEDIA
The game will be streamed live by ESPN+ with Lance Medow and Doug Feinberg on the call. As usual, the game will also be available over the airwaves at 89.5 FM WSOU or wsou.net. Joe Matthews and Judaea Ingram will describe the action on the radio. Live stats will also be available.

WSOU is also airing a post-game "Hall Line" show following its women's basketball games. Be sure to tune in after the final buzzer.

LAST GAME
Eleven players scored and the Pirates Iona to just 32 total points in a dominant 75-32 victory to open the 2023-24 season in Walsh Gymnasium on Tuesday.

The Hall used a 23-2 run that spanned most of the first quarter and the start of the second to pull away from the Gaels and cruise to its 13th consecutive season-opening victory. The Pirates' defense held Iona to just 27.9% shooting from the floor and forced 24 turnovers.

Five players scored at least eight points with sophomore Micah Gray (Oklahoma City, Okla.) leading the way with a game-high 11 points on 4-for-5 shooting from the floor. Amari Wright (Jacksonville, Fla.) had nine points and a game-high six assists. Azana Baines (Blackwood, N.J.), Makennah White (Farrell, Pa.) and Kae Satterfield (New York, N.Y.) all had eight points apiece.

AGAINST COLUMBIA
Seton Hall's game at Columbia on Friday will be the rubber contest in three straight seasons facing the Lions. Two years ago, the Pirates edged Columbia, 75-74, at Levien Gym in the National Quarterfinals of the WNIT. Last season, the Lions got their revenge with an 83-76 victory at Walsh Gym. All-time, The Hall has a 3-1 lead in the series.

SCOUTING COLUMBIA
Columbia is coming off a historic season which featured a program record 28 victories, including a 12-2 mark in Ivy League play. Although the they fell in the Ivy League championship, the Lions earned a bid to the WNIT and won five games before falling in the National Championship to Kansas.

Returning this season is senior guard Abbey Hsu, who was named to several preseason Player of the Year watch lists including The Naismith, Ann Meyers Drysdale and the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year. Columbia was picked to finish second in the eight-team Ivy League according to its preseason coaches' poll.

The Lions welcome seven new players to the roster this season. Five of the newcomers are first-years in Fliss Henderson, Habti Calvo, Riley Weiss, Emily Montes and Blau Tor. Fliss Henderson is the sister of junior Kitty Henderson. The other two newcomers are junior transfer Cecelia Collins (Bucknell) and sophomore transfer Ava Sciolla (Maryland).

Columbia opened the season on Monday with an 85-73 loss at Stony Brook. Hsu scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.

Seton Hall will next return to action when it returns to historic Walsh Gymnasium on Sunday, Nov. 12 to host Bryant.
