Seton Hall cut its deficit to 64-61 with 2:35 left in the game, but Columbia closed out the contest with an 8-0 run. Typical of only the second game of the season, play was a bit sloppy with the teams combined for 37 turnovers.

Seton Hall All-Time vs. the Bulldogs: Seton Hall leads, 1-0
Last Meeting:
Seton Hall 93, Bryant 57 (F) – November 13, 2015 (Walsh Gymnasium)

AGAINST BRYANT
Seton Hall and Bryant have only played one other time in history. The Hall routed the Bulldogs, 93-57, in Walsh Gym on November 13, 2015.

SCOUTING BRYANT
Bryant is coming off a 9-21 campaign last season, which included a 3-13 mark in America East Conference play. They were bounced from the America East Tournament in the first round by top-seeded Vermont.

Long-time head coach Mary Burke stepped down after 32 years and over 400 wins. A former guard for Burke, Lynne-Ann Kokoski took over the program for 2023-24. This year, the Bulldogs bring back four starters from that team and feature an international squad with six players from outside the United States, including five from Spain. Leading that Spanish contingent is 2022-23 Second-Team All-Conference performer Mariona Planes Fortney, who started all 30 games, averaging 15.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game while shooting 47 percent from the floor.

This season, the Bulldogs were picked to finish seventh in the nine-team league according to the preseason coaches' poll. Bryant enters the contest with a 1-0 record after a convincing opening-night 70-52 victory over Dartmouth. Both Fortuny and Mia Mancini dropped 20 points in the victory.

UP NEXT
Seton Hall will next return to action when it hosts Rutgers on Wednesday, Nov. 15. Tip time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The contest will be available for FloHoops subscribers. Spencer Gonzales and Judaea Ingram will describe the action for WSOU FM.

Why is this scheduled at the same time as the men's game? Which extra ticket do I use, give away!

Seton Hall Women's team failed to converse with the Men's team about scheduling, and it resulted in two home games at the same time.

Once Seton Hall/Coach Bozella realized the error, they tried REPEATEDLY to reschedule the game with Rutgers, who refused to change the date. Stringer hangover? Just another reason to SMH about our state university.

It will now result in splitting up the band/dance team/ and cheerleaders.

Thanks Rtgrs. 😡

We should just tell Rutgers to shut up and do as they’re told.
