Sha won’t talk

I heard his interview and thought it was exactly as expected TBH. It’s March. We’ve been through an entire season of this after we lose. It’s been an ugly, ugly week. Expected to lose both but not by 55 points.

We’ll see what happens. Hopefully a week from now we’ll be throwing bouquets at how this team went 20-11, 13-7 with a roster everyone here thought would be .500 at best.

Becoming convinced he thinks unused TOs help our NET
We needed time outs in first half for sure.
Game started out well with Dawes and David hitting early shots.

Richmond drove 3 times and should have been to the line at least twice in first 5 minutes. Swallowed whistles and we lost our way.

We did a great job bottling up Spencer but our sloppiness with the ball from our very, very seasoned vets of Dawes, Davis and Richmond, did us in.

Teams are also hard denying Dawes all over the floor. We need to use that to open up lanes for Richmond and Wusu to drive.

We had to work hard for offense they didn't. Once this team gets down big to a team that can score they give up. You can see it on the court in the way they play. That's why they lose badly in the end.

What can the guy do? Talent is talent. If they havent learned by now they wont. Im just annoyed at the willard 1 on 1 offense. Do they work on moving the ball inside out and they dont so it?
They have terrible judgement. Seniors throwing the ball over of the court.

Part of it is spacing. The teams collapse on the lanes and run Dawes off. Addae-Wusu is insanely blow his career shooting and Bediako is usually good when not playing two 7-footers who neutralize him.

Creighton and UConn made denial of Dawes a priority. We ran aot of sets for Dawes off screens that were well defended.

Davis was great in first half, but his half-hearted pass across court to Richmond, who himself did nothing to make the angle better, was the epitome of our poor performance this last few games.

How about that half court pass to Dre who wasn't looking?
Does that epitomize things or what?

That Pitino moment has lit a fire under his team. He apologized, but they've been on a tear since then.
Sha couldn't get away with a Rick Pitino moment, don't kid yourself. Additionally, Sha has more respect for his athletes and the university. It's also nice that SJU has a billionaire alumni that loves college ball and Rick Pitino.

Agree - I thought Pitino's take was totally crass. Praise in public, chastise privately. Surprised Pitino swallowed his pride and apologized. I'm sure it was forced.

In terms of heavy hitters, we have our own billionaire in Howard Kurtz whose net worth is 3x that of Repole. Not sure he's interested in basketball and NIL, though I'm sure the school is in touch with him. Hoping he has already or plans to donate to his former university.
