I still think he is gone. Of all the schools listed, ND looks the most interesting.
Every single player in the NCAA should enter the portal every off season with the current rules. It’s not like a job market where if you quit you have to do the work to find your next job. The jobs come calling these players and make their offer. Why not see what you can get. Ridiculous but true

Basketball wise, Seton Hall makes sense. Will be a focus point on the team and knows coaches expectations.
Money wise, state schools will provide more $$$. However, not guaranteed any playing time. Just have to look at one of the top transfer last year with Timberlake at Kansas. Did not have a significant role whatsoever until the very end.

Possible we upped offer and he doesn’t feel like playing for a 3rd college coach?
For sure possible. I was just responding to the person framing hall = wants to win, elsewhere = nil
Or why even have a portal, then. Just make all players free agents every year until the NCAA acknowledges schools' rights to offer and hold players to contracts.
The danger is when a kid enters the portal and his current team fills his spot. Many transfers were scrambling to find teams last summer, likely at a discount. It does make sense for very good players to test the waters, but even in their case the best offer may come from the school they're leaving.
No. They should sign a contract like all other professional athletes.
On trilly’s discord, it’s said that listing SHU is nothing more than a kind gesture towards the program and fanbase. I think he’s expected to move on. It sucks but many of us would do the same in his situation
