EO on Birthright Citizenship

No, I am suggesting that there is a reasonable basis to interpret the phrase "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" as meaning, not owing dual loyalties. Since an illegal alien is a citizen of another jurisdiction arguably, they owe a loyalty to that jurisdiction and thus their offspring are not afforded Birthright citizenship. Are you suggesting that that is not a possible interpretation of the 14th amendment?

The court has specifically addressed what subject to the jurisdiction means, and what you’re posting is in opposition to that. So while it might seem reasonable to you and anything is possible, I’d say it’s very unlikely the court will agree with you as It is against established precedent based on several opinions from the court.

Super donor Mike Repole talks St. John’s ‘magical’ resurgence, national NIL landscape: ‘It’s either evolve or die’

We've already established that going one and done in the NCAA isn't enough here. Two of our last three coaches left after an NCAA season and few lamented their departures.

The last guy made five of six (six of seven) tournaments but only won one game so that was deemed to be his ceiling.

If Sha gets to the point where we're making NCAAs most year but he isn't winning games, the same issues will eventually crop up.
Yes. But with most of those teams it wasn’t’ considered an outright failure or all for naught It depended on the year but most of the time I think 65-75% of the board was happy with making the dance and the rest so long as we won a game. Only 19-20 was probably different because of expectations and what we had with that group.

So if we spend more $ next year, we have to win a NCAA game for it to be money well spent? Getting huge crowds, coverage, some level of success on the court and the like wouldn't be worth it?

Based on what they are boasting and spending yes. I'm talking about them not us.

Hank D’Alessandro

Hank puts his time and I assume $ where his mouth is when it comes to dedication to SHU. I would seriously doubt he wouldn’t have done all he could to ensure SHU had the right person at President. I do find it interesting we decided to go back to a Priest running the school after 2 Laymen were Presidents. I assume some of this was due to the school saving a lot of $ by not paying a Salary and other perks for a Layman.
