the idea that we will miss on as many recruits as we did this year is very unlikely.

I see as many as 10 new players next year. The fact that we will have a new PG and (hopefully) some firepower from deep and under the boards will provide improvement.

Almost impossible to not be better.

Been watching this team for 16 years and was always an optimist even at the worst times.

Hard to not be pessimistic about being a mid major team without a billionaire donor in the infancy of the NIL Wild West.

Until there are major restrictions added to current version of free agency - it just seems hopeless for schools like us to field a competitive team.

This is the first season I’ve missed more than 1 game on TV (live or recorded). This team is causing me to become apathetic about the game. Not good.

Will Felton leave; will he be pushed out?

I won't take an awful to be better. Question is: how much better?

yes because nowhere to go but up and NIL taketh but also giveth in these scenarios. will we be better? yes. will we be competitive for a BE title? idk prob not
Just assuming it couldn’t get worse isn’t true. We are competitive for the first half with teams. With the added rev share every other school has access to it could get worse. We could quite frankly be in worse shape next year. Don’t think we will but it’s possible

Obviously I don't know the specifics of Coleman's injury and why he sat out today, but the next 3 games are actually winnable (some of you may crucify or laugh at me for saying this). Providence at home. Depaul on the road and Butler back at home. I'd bet dollars to donuts that Coleman is back for these next 3, as he'll probably be able to put up significant numbers if his usage and ball dominance on the offensive end is there.

All things are possible year to year in this era.

Basically you need to bring in a new top nucleus and whomever is left from this roster is a backup at best with the exception being Coleman. Maybe Aligbe. Maybe.

The question wasn’t will we be better next year, it’s was is there reason to hope for better? The answer is unequivocally yes. Many of our problems go beyond NIL and are easily correctable. I have to imagine Sha will make those adjustments next year.

Well according to our dear pal John Fanta, the SHU Administration is now embarrassed by what they've done with the incompetency to raise an NIL and there will be changes. So if we take that as gospel we should expect an improved roster.

Let the bidding begin!

Stay hopeful pirate fans. Look at Missouri. Last year's Missouri team was arguably worse than this year's pirate team.
Missouri currently ranked #22 and just knocked off #15 Ole Miss
Things can turn quick.
BTW where was Dre Davis? DNP yesterday..

I bet Villanova is saying the same thing.

Plus—maybe there’s hope. Louisville was probably worse than us and they’ve rebounded back.
Nova absolutely. 47-42 since Jay left. If they don't finish strong, will be 3 years without the NCAAs. Who will they bring in to replace Neptune?

Louisville crashed to rock bottom like we have but they've always had the funding to dig out. Hire a competent coach and give him a barrel of money to get players and they're back.
