KR left for money pure and simple, he had a home that appreciated him. The disconnect with SJU is Petino's style and KR's style. KR is a patient and deliberate point guard, a quality that was well suited for Sha's defense first mentality. Pitino loaded up on talent and he wants to play an up tempo game, this will be an issue as the season progresses.

I'm predicting huge chemistry issues for SJU, a prediction that I've made each of the last 5 seasons. You can't fit a square peg into a round hole.

KR will be richer at SJU, but he would have been happier at SHU.

We must apply our defense to our offense.

His minutes are limited and inconsistent. He has overall done well with them this season when he gets a chance

I was a fan of NgaNga, but I think Okorafor will be a gem come January. Okorafor and Toumi with 6 more games under their belts, will fade the memories of those gone by.

The more you read Shaheen’s quotes on the players the more you realize he knows how bad they are.

He is basically telling us that some of these guys have never been coached before. He’s literally starting from the fundamentals.

Sha has used these games essentially as practices. Results weren’t his main objective. Sucks but that’s where we are. Hopefully come Big East season we have a more stable rotation

Agree we need both, even if incoming frosh are long shots. Most have been for several years: look how so many leave for more playing time. If we depend only on the guys in the portal in April we will always be desperate and a second division BE team.
