No one is suggesting a new gun law will prevent all gun crime. Just because it doesn't fix the problem on it's own, doesn't mean it's not beneficial as a place to start. We can enhance current laws to make it more difficult for criminals.

Should we not have a border wall because people will figure out a way to get over/under/through it?
Or do you want a Border wall to be the first barrier to make things more difficult for those who want to break the law?
Two different issues. The people coming across the border are doing it illegally as are the illegals committing crimes in this country.

Most gun owners own and utilize their guns lawfully. Why make it tougher first on people that have not broken a law.

Let’s start with improving the laws, enforcement and incarceration of criminals. That’s where most of the carnage is created.

I don't want a law that is going to weaken the good people of America while the criminals don't follow the laws. Creating gun laws that will only be followed by the good people who are currently following the gun laws of today is a waste of time. We need harsher punishment. Literally these people need to face such punishment it becomes unthinkable to do something bad with a gun. Kind of like that Toby Keith & Willie Nelson song that a man should have to answer for the wicked he's done, take all the rope in Texas find a tall oak tree hang them high in the streets for all the people to see.

If you can explain how a border weakens good people I will agree we need to rethink it.

Trump

Criminals who don't follow any laws are magically going to follow gun laws. Sound strategy. Or we can get rid of guns altogether and the bigger, stronger guy generally wins.

Cop on a power trip, pro athlete a diva

Since you couldn't list all the good things Tyreek Hill has done, I will help.

Trump

The fact of the matter is painting Trump as the devil incarnate, and the "end of democracy, women's rights, and LGBT rights" for 8 years is the prime mover in these attempts. The shooters may be "mentally ill," but let's not forget what Biden, Maxine Waters, and their ilk have gone on record saying about Trump.

It is a mental illness problem and politicians on both sides need to figure out a way to turn the temperature down, or events like these will continue to happen. The mental illness is not one sided either, just look at the Paul Pelosi attack or the guy trying to find a way into Obama's house last year (after Trump posted the address on Truth Social btw) and there are many threats which are never made public against both sides of the aisle.

I think if Trump or Harris came out and just acknowledged their faults, and that we are too divided and the country will be ok no matter who wins and just ran on their vision for the next 4 years, that would be a good start to turn the temp down. I don't think either would do that since running against what the other would do is so much more effective.

Top-125 prospect Lino Mark recaps USC, Seton Hall visits

By SAM LANCE

Class of 2025 prospect Lino Mark has recently completed two official visits to USC (Sept. 6-8) and Seton Hall (Sept. 9-11). He broke down both of his trips to ZAGSBLOG via text:

USC: “The USC visit was a lot of fun and a great way to communicate and feel out the team and the staff. [Eric] Musselman’s message was that he believes I fit into what he’s building at USC.

Seton Hall: “Seton Hall was a great experience to feel out the team and environment. The staff does a great job already to make it known that they want me and see me to have a very successful career there. Only great vibes from Seton Hall and much respect to the coaching staff and coach Shaheen [Holloway] for the love they gave my family and I.”

Mark — the 6-foot-2, 170-pound guard from Notre Dame Sherman Oaks (CA) and the Oakland Soldiers AAU program — is currently down to eight schools. LMU, Rutgers, Seton Hall, TCU, UCSB, USC, Utah and West Virginia made the final cut.

He has taken an official visit to LMU (Aug. 25-26) and visits to all of his other finalists are set in stone. Mark’s upcoming schedule is as follows: Rutgers (Sept. 18-19), West Virginia (Sept. 20-22), Utah (Sept. 27-29), TCU (Oct. 4-6) and UCSB (Oct. 8-10).

Mark previously broke down some of those options to ZAGSBLOG at Peach Jam.

Mark is ranked the No. 123 overall prospect by 247Sports and the No. 13 player in the state of California. He attends Notre Dame Sherman Oaks in Los Angeles and will play there with 2026’s No. 1 prospect Tyran Stokes next season.

“I’m hoping we can win Peach and then win State,” Mark said at Peach Jam. “Thats a big deal.”

The Soldiers ended up falling to Nightrydas Elite, 71-62, in the Peach championship game. For the tournament, Mark averaged 5.6 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists while playing 17.1 minutes per contest.

Adding An NIL Fee To Ticket Prices

Competition will force the outside world to get involved no matter what. A school like Arkansas will always have people paying players outside of the school. If they're doing it and you want to compete for the same player, you better find a way.
Yes there is no putting Collectives out of business. That cat is out of the bag.

Just saying that if schools start revenue sharing with players, most are going to need to boost revenue to do so.

Trump

Unfortunately he is a marked man...and there are severe metally wounded people in society. This was an advanced hole and good on SS to execute proactively...

In a state of florida like georgia and texas guns are gonna gun because of the looseness of any legislation. With that said will be interested to know history of weapon...ammo procured timeline etc
And Pennsylvania?

Everyone wants players to be paid by the school, things like this are how it will be done. The costs ALWAYS get passed on to the customers.

Great version of Dancing Queen

NewsNation is the only cable network that is truly down the middle. And when you watch Major networks…ABC, CBS, NBC you realize how far left-leaning they are.
Down the middle is not sexy for consumption. Perhaps they will have a strong election night and nexstar really wants this to pan out. Compared to fnc and msnbc no one is watching newsnation.

I hope nexstar is in this for the long run because I believe it is a positive thing to have multiple options.

I can’t see the school losing a significant amount of ticket holders. This is the new reality. It will actually make fundraising a little easier I think. Instead of trying to solicit donations every month tack on a one time fee. That should give you a good amount of funds to bring talent consistently. The alternative would be going to games and the team not being competitive. That wouldn’t be enjoyable either. I’m not a fan of how NIL has turned out but I’m ok with paying a little extra to see coach Sha succeed.
