#1 in the country DI in PPG defense

I would suspect that none of the other teams in Charleston played much tougher completion than we did so early in the season. We shall see starting Thursday.
I could be wrong, but I would think VCU played a much tougher team when they played Boston College
I would think Vanderbilt played a much tougher team when they played Cal
I would think played a much tougher team in Washington

2 of those 3 teams will be our opponents and they've all played power conference schools when the best team we've played is Hofstra. I would just think that means we are more of an unknown vs better teams. Every single one of those games was a double digit win for the team that we will face.

#1 in the country DI in PPG defense

In at least 2 of the 3 games, probably all 3 games, this week we will be facing far superior competition to anything we've faced so far. Exciting challenge for the defense this week.

The Giants - New Low. Approaching Howard Beale Status

This is the exact reason the Giants are a failed organization. If Tracy doesn't fumble & the Giants beat the Panthers in OT do you really think they'd still be making this change. It's a reaction to try & placate the fans, now that the season is spent & they lost to one of the worst teams in the league.

Jones should have been benched for Devito weeks ago. We all know what he is now & his confidence is shot under Dabol. He very well could be a serviceable QB for the right organization (similar to Darnold) but his time in NY is done.

I think Dabol & Schoen are both cooked and out. A new GM is going to want his own coach unless they decide to hire from within... which would be even more of a disaster but not a surprise.

The Giants - New Low. Approaching Howard Beale Status

I think you have Lock just in case the team did well and then DJ got hurt near an important game or during an important game. Obviously, that isn't going to happen. At this point Tommy is more appealing as far as lending a storyline to the remaining games. Lock is kind of bland. Tough spot on how to compensate the backup and that I agree with you on.
Team has a better chance of winning games with Devito which is why Daboll is playing him. Daboll is coaching for his job. I personally think Schoen is already cooked and out.

Will be an interesting race. On the Republican side there is a lack of talent, so it will most likely be Jack.

He ran a good race in 2021, but the circumstances were different. It was an under the radar race and he was able to avoid scrutiny. Given how close NJ was this year, I would anticipate this race will get a lot of money and national media attention. Dems will be hungry to make a statement that NJ is off the table in 2026/28.

I am not sure Jack will be able to handle it. He will have to be skillful in the dance between embracing Trump and showing he is Independent enough. He will need both the Trump voters to come out, hold onto some of his gains with minorities, while also not alienating wealthy educated whites in Morris, Somerset, Bergen etc. Is Jack good enough of a politician to pull it off?

The Spring Lake native averaged 19.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game in two Seton Hall wins last week.
NEW YORK – Seton Hall's Faith Masonius (Spring Lake, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

It's the second time in two weeks that Masonius has been honored by the conference. Last week, she was named BIG EAST Player of the Week.

Masonius continued the torrid start to her Seton Hall career with two more major efforts in a pair of Seton Hall victories last week. The graduate student averaged 19.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game, all Seton Hall highs for the week. Against Fordham on Tuesday, Masonius tied for the team lead with 17 points to go with six rebounds, six assists and three steals in a 23-point victory. On Saturday against Bryant, she erupted for a game-high 22 points to go with seven rebounds and five assists in another Seton Hall victory.

Connecticut's Paige Bueckers and Sarah Strong was named BIG EAST Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week, respectively. Those joining Masonius on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll include: Creighton's Lauren Jensen, DePaul's Jorie Allen, Providence's Olivia Olsen and St. John's Lashae Dwyer.

Seton Hall will return to action tonight at former BIG EAST rival Cincinnati. Tip time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The game will be streamed live by ESPN+.

The Giants - New Low. Approaching Howard Beale Status

What an indictment of Schoen that the new starter is Tommy Cutlets. Drew Lock couldn't even beat him out for the job now that they are sitting Jones. This GM gives me no confidence at all. Why pay Lock $5M if he can't even come in and start in place of Jones (unless they are trying to tank the rest of the games)?

Seton Hall All-Time vs. the Bearcats: Seton Hall leads, 5-4
Last Meeting:
Seton Hall 60, Cincinnati 55 (F) – March 8, 2013 (XL Center)

AGAINST CINCINNATI
Seton Hall and Cincinnati haven't met since the Bearcats left the BIG EAST Conference. The Hall owns a slim 5-4 all-time series lead and has won three of the last four games. Their last meeting was a Pirates' 60-55 victory in the 2013 BIG EAST Tournament.

SCOUTING CINCINNATI
Cincinnati is coming off a 14-18 season a year ago, which included a 5-13 mark in Big 12 play. The Bearcats defeated UCF in the opening round of the Big 12 Tournament, but fell in the second round to West Virginia. Cincinnati was selected to participate in the WNIT, but lost in the first round to Purdue Fort Wayne. The 14 wins were the team's most since 2019 and marked a five-win improvement from the prior season.

This year, the Bearcats were picked to finish 13th in the 16-team league according to the preseason coaches' poll. Mancini was named a Preseason All-Conference selection. Cincinnati brings back nine letterwinners, including four starters. Key returners include three of the top four scorers from last season: Jillian Hayes (12.9 ppg), A'riel Jackson (9.4 ppg) and Reagan Jackson (8.2 ppg).

The Bearcats welcome four newcomers to the 2024-25 roster: Tineya Hylton (senior, transfer from Texas A&M), Daylee Dunn (fifth-year, transfer from Loyola Marymount), Alliance Ndiba (redshirt junior, transfer from Arizona Western), and freshman Chloe Mann from Fort Worth, Texas.

Cincinnati enters Monday's contest with a perfect 3-0 record having defeated UIC, Delaware State, and most recently, Davidson, 68-50, on Wednesday. The Bearcats are holding their opponents to just 50.0 points per game and are shooting .435 from the field. Hayes is off to a strong start to her season, averaging a team-best 20.3 points to go with 9.7 rebounds per contest.

UP NEXT
Seton Hall will return to action on Thursday, November 21 when it returns to historic Walsh Gymnasium to host local non-conference rival Princeton. Tip time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The contest will be streamed live by the Pirate Sports Network and available for FloCollege subscribers. 89.5 FM WSOU or wsou.net will also carry the game.
