Giants Absolutely Blowing It!

Be nice if Cleveland beats Miami. That puts Giants at # 2 which is fine as the Pats have their QB but could and should shop the pick. Bigger problem is Eagles will continue to screw us and sit their starters next week. We could win two in a row and drop down in the draft order significantly. And the dummies could have had additional draft capital trading Ojulari and Slayton at the deadline and didn’t do it. Now they will have to give up a lot if they try or have to move up. Continued malpractice by Schoen.
or the eagles dont and saquon gets the record vs the giants. which would you prefer?

At first it was dealing with money but still having a conventional team-building function. Now it's nothing. P4P, annual free agency.
its just rearranging players every year and hoping you get lucky one of those years. teams will have big spending years and small spending years. fans will have absolutely zero connection to these teams, which is what the whole point was supposed to be about.

and now you apparently have 9 year players

Larranga's complaints about NIL aren't about a lack of resources. His complaints are same as everyone else's- having to constantly re-recruit your own players due to unlimited transfers, agents approaching players and coaches during the season and the total lack of transparency.

Miami was one of the first teams to pay players big salaries (through John Ruiz) and they rode it to an E8 and F4. After paying guys good money, they all went in the Portal seeking more money.

"What shocked me, beyond belief, was after we made it to the Final Four just 18 months ago, the very first time I met with the players, eight of them decided they were going to put their name in the portal and leave".
yup. even the schools that have money don't like it. its going to turn into a horrible product very quickly and the core fanbase will be over it quickly.

Come on!!!

Yikes! We have one of the top business schools in the country, you’d think they could get one of those kids to help them out with this kind of stuff. Is the athletic department aware of the business school?
the business school seemed archaic when it got my first job and my entire industry wasn't even mentioned at any point in my 4 years. probably esteemed on the more traditional studies

I get it..but that’s not entirely correct

Their NIL was always way overblown (which is what they wanted) and it back fired immensely

That is what I said when he retired..trust me I know..he has complained about resources for 18 months

That is my point…EVERYONE complains about their NIL now..it’s what you do now..take it for what it’s worth

They don't do anything creative, very few things to generate any content or look like a professional operation. They just plod along. I mean just send the link out would've been better than this.

Except for the fact that Laranega has a long long career and actually achieved those things AT THE CURRENT school in a power conference….massive difference

And Laranega has complained about his NIL for 18 months now
