Calm down!

There are two positives: (1) It’s only November 14th and we’ve only played 3 games, and (2) the defense has been good, and the team looks well-connected on that end.

The play on the other end and the clear lack of roles, flow, or connectivity is not just bad, it’s alarmingly bad. We should be worried by what it looks like. We’re rotating ball handlers too much, we’re using DAW as our PG, changing combinations, it’s chaotic and so slow bc everyone is confused. It’s why we haven’t even hit 58 points in a game yet against MAAC, A10, and CAA teams. That shouldn’t be happening.

And we had what in that scrimmage against Willard? 52? 🤦‍♂️
I see playing 3 games as a negative, not a positive.

I miss Anton.

Most can't compete

Who is cmingbto games if we move down a notch.

As noted on another thread and with all due respect, dropping down a notch is not the answer. Where are we playing our MAAC level games? 1200 seat Walsh Gym built in the 1930s? And who is coming. to see that after being a charter BE member? It would be the end. Not saying we’re not in a tough place, we are. But it’s either figure it out or we are dead.
We’re dead either way. At least we can win down a level and the fans would have fun who do show ip

lol. And people here still think having a “GM” or an NIL a year or two earlier is what holds us back.

We are screwed, plain and simple. Sad part is we finally got the perfect head coach but at the absolute worst time

Either we hold our breath and rot away in oblivion while we wait for the NCAA to bring common sense and realignment back into this

Or we bite the bullet, get ahead of the game and move down a notch to be competitive.

State of the Union After 3 Games

I hate this, I say the next step down is not the A-10 but the MAAC. Remember, no way we play at The Rock if we are not a Big East school. So we play (in the less than most high school gyms) Walsh?

Seton Hall is really a MAAC school playing up in the Big East and I'd like to see it continue even though almost all sports teams are not good in the Big East. Now how do we do that??
Absolutely. Anyone advocating stepping down and away from the BE is really not thinking this through. It would be total oblivion. Where are we playing 15-17 home games? At 1200 capacity Walsh Gym. Gotta figure this out.

Dentists want fluoride...

I actually like RFK for HHS. He is asking the provocative questions that should be asked given the poor health of this country. We consume the highest percentage of ultra processed food of industrialized nations; over 40% of the population is obese; and a healthcare system fueled by consumption of prescription drugs. If I’m not mistaken, 8 out the last 10 FDA Commissioners now work for Pharma companies including Pfizer and Moderna.

He has a steep hill to climb due to the lobbies and misaligned incentives, but you need a disruptive force to initiate the required change.
This is an oxymoron right?

I mean he wants a more nutritious regulated menu...yet his CIC eats a modest diet of McDonald's

Lack of Action causing downfall

Can he? Coaching contracts state that the head coach is in charge of the complete program. Forcing a GM without the head coach's buy-in would be a breach of said contract. This person would also have to be a Sha guy.
Clearly it’s warranted- let’s look at a prime example. We had Jackie Johnson in our gym last March in the NIT- granted he had a crap game against us- but goes on to score 23 vs SJ. 18vs us with the game winner. Kid clearly has talent and ends up at fordham. Sure we don’t know went down, but that’s gotta be a GM role to identify opponents and start picking off these opportunities to snag talent. This is Sha’s 3rd roster that he’s screwed up on. 3/3

Unwatchable and Unlistenable

First off, I don't think Sha cares. This is an obligation to him. While I don't doubt it's simply an obligation to many coaches, at least Willard developed a rapport with Gary and to a lesser extent Dave.

I think Gary does this because he enjoys it -- I doubt he needs the money and this gig probably pays pocket change relatively speaking.

His career is also winding down and he may only have a couple of years of having a side job left in him. I'd suspect, if he felt disrespected, he'd cash it in but being forced to watch this nearly unwatchable team might also push him to the door sooner than later.

I'd agree with the idea hardly anybody is listening to Seton Hall basketball for Gary Cohen. The games aren't on linear radio anymore and since every game is on TV, most are likely only listening if they can't view the game (like Wednesday night) or in the car trying to get to the game.

Dentists want fluoride...

They're a bunch of idiots. If they only knew TwitterGuy's dentist AND orthodontist both recommended it. That's, not 1 but 2 key players in the health world who've done their own research and are the best of the best. Not to mention America is the healthiest country in the world because the guidance from the top is the best. Nobody should ever question what they've been told from those geniuses. This article would've never been written if it had these facts.

It's so funny. Instead of saying show me the research, people say what my dentist said when I was 7 had to be right, especially since my orthodontist echoed it when I was 10.

Unwatchable and Unlistenable

He basically said Gary asked a stupid question.

Not egregious…if coming from say Bill Belichek to a Pats online nobody writer…but for Seton Hall where Gary is The Name… I just didn’t like it.

Maybe I’m too sensitive to it, especially given the season we’re appear to be embarking on…but I think big picture, the coach of a Seton Hall team needs to nurture and enhance the coverage of someone like Gary Cohen…and not ever chance tarnishing it…or worse…ending it.

Well that's the answer TwitterGuy's dentist and orthodontist recommended it. All is good. Everyone should take it. I bet if Harvard and Cambridge knew that they wouldn't have even researched it. It must be good all around. Do you think fluoride might have an impact on the heart, on dementia, on the nervous system, etc? If so, would the impact all be positive?
