Final Donation push to reach $100K - To date $107,180

Two posters on the Trove, @Aross1995 and @SHUballs have offered to donate $1,000 each if in the last two days of the Match we can get a total of $98K. That would put the final Match number to an incredible $100K.

We are $7500 short of that total to date.

I wasn't going to post any more targets because you guys have been fantastic,. But now that has changed because of our two Trove members.

Pls help if you can.

Seton Hall

25This ranking is based on Shaheen Holloway's Pirates returning five of the top eight scorers - everybody except Al-Amir Dawes, Dre Davis and Jaden Bediako - from a team that won the 2024 NIT. Kadary Richmond should return for a fifth season and emerge as a possible option for Big East Player of the Year.25-12

WAY-TOO-EARLY top 25 for next season.

Way Too Early

Yeah, I know….

Usually I am among the first to show disdain for these lists. In this full-fledged era of the Transfer Portal and NIL is seems more pointless than ever before to make one of these lists.

However, look at who they have at number 15. Then look at who they have at number 16. They even managed to find a spot for our old coach! Disagree with purdue at 3 though, they are done for a while.

NIL Question

Serious question - once a player is here for the year how does NIL work regarding tshirts and jerseys? Do they get paid out as that comes in? Does that help cover the agreed upon NIL?

One reason I ask is people are talking about Richmond entering the portal to get more money. So what value did us spending our hard earned dollars on his tshirts or jerseys actually have if he leaves? The kid was already on the team this year.

Wouldn’t it be better to put all of our money into NIL directly and not support the players individually?

Or am I off and don’t understand how this works?

My personal thanks to all of our supporters! - $107,180

I've been off the board since last Monday when I drove to Indy for the NIT final four, spent this past weekend with my son, and drove 10 hours (round-trip) to see the solar eclipse. I'M BAAAACCCK!

I can't express how grateful I am, we are, for the tremendous support we've received for our inaugural Onward Setonia Volunteer Tribute!

We started with a $25K pledge from a long-time supporter who offered to match $25K, if we managed to raise $25K. We eclipsed the $50K total in 2 weeks, when another long-time supporter jumped in to match the next $10K. With the overwhelming support of our Seton Hall faithful, we exceeded $70K in the first 3rd weeks of fundraising. Our NIT Championship run coincided with this event, and elevated our Volunteer Tribute total to $107,080 - in 7 weeks.

Halldan was relentless in garnering support for this initiative, and we can't thank him enough. Danny has limitless passion for Seton Hall University and we're lucky to have him on our side. Kudos to Dan!

Onward Setonia are planning events which will build on our support of Seton Hall student-athletes. We'll be announcing details as they become available.

There are multiple ways to support our NIL program which include:
- Subscriber memberships ($25/month, $50/month, and $89/month)
- Seton Hall Merchandise
- One-time contributions

Congrats to Uconn and Hurley

Congratulations to UConn. They played great all around game:

Purdue probably wouldn’t have beat Creighton, Marquette or prob the Hall last night.
Their guards didn’t seem to be tough enough to score against that uncomfortable Big East play on both sides!

Don’t be surprised if Hurley goes to Kentucky! Thats the buzz/fear with the UConn boosters per my friend who is one.

Walsh Gym and the NIT

The environment at the three Walsh Gym games was beyond electric and unlike anything I have ever experienced at a Seton Hall home game. That is how college basketball is meant to be viewed (not in 19K seat pro hockey arenas). I'm struggling to put into words just how intense/fun/loud/etc. that environment was. I couldn't help but think "this will be a lot of fun next time it happens." Which got me thinking - we may have witnessed the last high-level games to be played on campus. I really don't see that opportunity happening again, which is really unfortunate.

I'm sure you have heard by now that Fox launched a new post season tournament to rival the NIT. The BigEast is contractually obligated to send two teams to the new "College Basketball Crown" held in Las Vegas. There are no home games associated with this tournament.

In summary - we experienced something very special and very unique. I'm just happy I got to be a part of it.
