Two players I hope have good games today are Jamir Harris and Tray Jackson as both have struggled recently. Both are basically 3pt shooters who have struggled. Neither have the handle to slash to the basket but Harris appears to be buying into Sha’s defensive approach. Jackson appears a player without a position. Doesn’t have the handle or defense for the 3 spot and overwhelmed in the post. Imagine if Ndefo had his height and shooting ability. Jackson is an enigma who I hope turns his season around as we have no post players but Samuel or Ndefo.

My two…I want to see another strong game from Richmond and Dawes to play within himself.

Tray looks defeated out there. Keep the fouls down and drive to the basket. The 3s make me cringe. Dude's explosive - so explode already!

Both were pretty good last year and, quite frankly, really bad this year. Disappointing. This team desperately needs the offense from Harris and Jackson that they provided last year.

Maybe switch Ndefo and Jackson roles. Let Ndefo bang and Jackson be on the wing. It’s not Jackson’s game. He’s not a defender either. And it must be causing a ton of frustration for everyone. We also do need the “instant offense” Jackson provided last year off the bench.

I’m not at practice and I know Sha was trying to get him to be more physical in the post, but maybe it’s time to see that adjustment. We’re already about a third through the season and Jackson’s numbers are bad, they’re down across the board. That includes rebounding rates. He’s an inconsistent player but this is a guy who was 16th in offensive rating, 22nd in defensive rebounding %, 20th in 2PT% and 3rd in 3PT % during conference play last year.

They are both important. Harris is more important in my opinion. You want Jackson hitting 2 or 3 jumpers per game. More than that and it’s gravy. Play some defensive minutes for Sha. Harris has to pickup his shooting foremost, but we need the smart player he evolved into in the second part of last season. Smart ball handling and stability to the court. Both guys have to pick up their focus and show more confidence. They both were contributors last season. So we know they can do better.

Harris plays decent defense, Jackson does not. Pretty clear what Sha focuses on and you can't have a guy that hits one or two threes, but gives up twice that many points on the other end. I really think he had his chance but with Yetna coming back, there is no room at the Inn up front with Samuel, Yetna, Dre, Tae and KC. Harris can at least give you minutes to spell Richmond, Dawes and Femi.

Yea tray doesnt look energized or passionate. Some dont show it like Eli Manning but somethings off. Hes goimg to have to muck it up like the rest. He can shoot the 3 as well. Jamir id like to see him come off several screens. Hes not as good off the dribble shooting 3s or in rushed situations. Even come off screens for easy handoffs. Or if our pg is paying attention, drives to the basket w jamir on same side. Even a few curls around the ft line like we did w rhoden at times.

Might have read too much into it, but one thing that was a bit alarming about Tray was that when he exited the Kansas game having been poked in the eye, not one other player came to his aid. As if they were fed up with his lack of effort.

I thought this was a post about possible recruits being a the games. I miss those posts. They there has a be a legitimate sack of cash in the seat for them. I hate College Basketball recruiting right now.
