There is always plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings. . Never been on the Hawaii trips but have been to other locations . They are always great trips

I fully understand the criticism but you have to forge ahead. They are in a no win situation. I'm sure there is an allocation of tickets that Setonia is responsible to buy/sell. What do people expect them to do? Not try to sell tickets. No time to quit trying to advance the brand.

Exactly how is Shaheen being greedy? The poor guy has to try to work with minimal funding because our administration is clueless and doesn’t want to listen to anyone with a clue on how to fix things!
Not what I heard this time…if we have 6+ million, which has been said here numerous times (although I like to think there is no way)

But if we do…I heard our timing and our “pitch” is embarrassing and I think that is on sha

Doesn't have to be just with money...could be greedy with his philosophy/refusal to change anything.

I have no idea if he is being greedy financially, but he seems like a rather difficult man to work with and play for, which is part of the reason we are having such a terrible time right now.

To what end?

A. Does not want to pay players

B. Players don’t want to play for him

C. Disorganized recruiting effort including refusal by Sha to allow a GM

D. All of the above

Truly asking.
All of the above. The money is there, the assistant coaches are getting players. Shaheen Holloway is the problem here.

This was true, but they have given him what he wanted.

How can any head coach of a D-1 basketball program not accept the stark reality that as a head coach paying players is part of the job and if he can’t accept that he ought to find a new career path.

I think he's pretty well aware of that, but the problem is that the players aren't accepting bottle caps instead of actual money.

Guys, we don’t have the money. Finally clarified on The Trove. The bulk of the $6 million is from revenue share which can’t be spent until the House settlement is approved.
SHA can’t offer what we don’t have available! That’s on the administration. The administration needs to hire someone that actually knows how to fundraise and listen to that person because the people we currently have do not have a clue about fundraising!

That's inexcusable and points to the incompetence of the individuals running the athletic department. How would we ever think revenue sharing was going to be enough? It just provides a start to what each school can pay, in order to sign players you have to be able to pay above what the revenue share would be.

Didnt we fold our NIL into the athletics department to rely on revenue sharing?

So we actually voluntarily shot ourselves in the foot. Correct?

I know of other universities that did the same thing, but yes, this is correct. And they are all dead in the water, too, at least the one I'm thinking of.

It's a great question, I live on Grand Cayman and we now have a D1 tournament every year. There is an amazing amount of time to see good fun college hoops and still enjoy an island for you to enjoy. Add a few days to the trip with family and you would have even better time. Brought this up to Mc Bride who blew me off ( not smart) but you see what we are dealing with throughout.

They did. His name was Mike McBride. It’s not their fault he failed spectacularly. A complete zero.
